Friday Colorado Beer Tidbits

My email box has been active lately with various news from brewers around the state of Colorado. Here are a few items of interest for today's Friday Colorado Beer Tidbits.

Phantom Canyon Brewing Company

Coulter's Kölsch is now on tap at the Phantom Canyon Brewing Company.

Coulter's Kölsch (ABV: 5.2%) is Phantom Canyon's own version of the traditional style lager originally brewed in Cologne, Germany. This light beer is refreshing and complimented by a mellow taste and aroma of Czechoslovakian hops. Coulter's Kölsch is perfect for anyone looking to quench their thirst or for those who usually prefer our Queens Blonde Ale, but would like to try something new. Phantom Canyon Brewing Company, 2 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903 • (719) 635-2800

Dry Dock Brewing Company
Dry Dock Brewing Company

Please join Dry Dock Brewing on Tuesday May 20th for their first tapping party! Be one of the first to taste this year's Paragon Apricot Blonde!

You loved it and so did the judges at the 2007 Colorado State Fair. This great fruit beer won a Bronze Medal. It is back with all the glory so come on in and cuddle up to a sweet blonde with a shipload of apricot aroma and flavor. Tuesday May 20th 2008. They open at 3pm and so does the keg.

Every time a keg of Paragon Apricot Blonde runs out on Tuesday while filling your pint or growler you'll get a growler of free beer from Shawn. Dry Dock Brewing Company, 15110 East Hampden Ave, Aurora, Colorado

Beer Dinner Review Coming Soon...

Just got back late last night from a fantastic beer dinner hosted by the Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams) and the Rioja Restaurant in downtown Denver. About 45 guests attended one of the many celebrations that took place in honor of American Craft Beer Week. I'll have a complete event summary, pictures, and possibly a video from the festivities. Can't wait to share all the news about the great food, great beer and great people. Didn't get home until after 12 midnight so couldn't post anything yet. Look for it in my next post later tonight or early tomorrow. If they ever host this event again I'm definitely going back. Stay tuned!
