13th Annual Keystone Beer and Bluegrass Festival
August 1-2, 2009 (Sat/Sun)
River Run Village, Keystone Resort,

Highlights: Event 12-6pm. The beer will pour from 1-5pm each day. Beer from more than 30 Colorado microbreweries, served in a beer garden; try some down-home cooking; listen to acoustic bluegrass music on three stages; inflatables and other children's activities at "Energy Alley"; free parking. Here's a new event added to the Colorado beer festivals this year. The Gnarly Barley Brew Festival will take place on August 1st at the Larimer Country Fair. The event will run from 12 noon to 5:00pm at the Main Stage Courtyard. Several Colorado breweries will be on hand. Your $10 ticket includes a souvenir sampling mug and 4 sampling tokens. Vote for your favorite. Additional tokens available. Live music all day plus the Gnarly Barley Homebrew Competition results will be announced. Web site.

Greater Boulder Beer Festival

1pm - 5pm. The 2nd annual Greater Boulder Beer Fest will feature beers that are brewed only in Boulder County! Their will be beer friendly food, like Beer Brats, Stout Short Ribs, & much more! Live music will be performing during the entire event. Expected breweries include: Boulder Beer, Avery, Twisted Pine, Colorado Brewing Co, Left Hand, Oskar Blues, Walnut Brewery, Pumphouse Brewery, BJ's Brewhouse, Wild Mountain Smokehouse. Tickets $20 at the door. First 400 get a commemorative beer glass.

This is the 2nd of two summer beer festivals that are part of the Summerfest Music Series. BrewGrass will feature a lineup of great national and local Bluegrass and Americana acts. It’s all happening at the 1200 block of Old South Pearl Street—North of Louisiana and South of Buchtel—just a hop, skip and a jump west from the Louisiana-Pearl Light Rail Station. Craft Lager Festival

This will be the 6th year for the Craft Lager Festival and it's moving to a bigger, roomier locale. "Drink a Beer, Save a Tree" at the annual celebration of bottom-fermented craft lagers in Manitou Springs, supporting open space and parks. Come taste beers from Hawaii to Boston, listen and dance to live local music, and meet the brewers creating artisanal beers you won't find any where else. In its 21st year this FREE weekend showcases over 300 arts, crafts and food booths, Kids' World, a carnival, two beer gardens sponsored by Odell Brewing and Anheuser-Busch, and seven stages of continuous entertainment. The festival is also proud to host Bohemian Nights music lineup providing Colorado music all weekend long. Over 80 performances and 7 stages of continuous entertainment throughout the weekend! STOUTS will be flowing forth from the taps of Avery Brewing Company. They'll have at least 5 different stouts on tap for the evening, maybe more. Nedfest

NedFest 2009 is the 11th annual three-day outdoor music and microbrew festival with camping located in the mountains of Nederland Colorado, just 17 miles west of (3,000 ft. above) Boulder. It happens at the end of August and the music featured is in the Bluegrass, Jazz, Jamband and World Beat genres, or moreso, a sound that blends these styles and others together. Up to six bands perform each day on one stage, with acoustic 'tweener sets between each band. On Friday the Gates open to the public at 2:00 PM and the Music runs from 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM. On both Saturday and Sunday the Gates open at 10:00 AM and the Music begins at 11:00 AM. Extended hours this year allow for the Music to go until 10:30 PM on Saturday and until 8:30 PM on Sunday. Additionally, there will be late-night shows happening all over town, including a special show each night at The Black Forest. This totals roughly 40 hours of live music and fun! Web site.

2009 Springs Foam Fest

Now in its third year, Foam Fest will be bigger and better than ever! The event will take place from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the beautiful Antler's Park in downtown Colorado Springs. Last year's attendance was well over 300 people, this year we expect crowds of between 600 and 800 beer drinkers from across Southern Colorado! Live entertainment will be provided by Andy Clifton & Company and Chute Nine; food will be provided by Old Chicago as well as several other fine food purveyors. New this year will be a Home Brewer Competition that looks to bring several contestants and even more avid beer drinkers. Additionally, we will feature more “festival style” activities from Bungee Jumping to Ring Toss. A crowd favorite activity from last year, Corn Holing, will make an encore appearance. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Miracle on Tejon Street (an event that feeds over 600 homeless people on Christmas day), and The Friends of Cheyenne Cañon (a conservation and education group dedicated to preserving North Cheyenne Cañon Park).
