Boulder Beer releases seasonal brews

As part of the continuing stream of recent seasonal beer release announcements from many brewers around Colorado, the Boulder Beer Company of Boulder Colorado has announced the availability of three of it's Winter seasonal beers. Now available in stores are their Never Summer Ale, a hoppy red beer brewed with caramel malts, and their Obovoid Oak-aged Stout, a dark rich malty brew that's been aged on oak for months.

Plus, this week comes the release of Boulder Beer's Killer Penguin '08. This "bird" is a strong barleywine that was made in a small 50 barrel batch and is in limited supply. Grab it once you see it as it may go fast.

Get an MBA from Boulder Beer

You can get a Masters of Beer Appreciation from Boulder Beer as they announce the return of their monthly Beer School which is now in session. Each first Monday night of the month from November through April, Boulder Beer will be hosting seminars that feature samplings of seasonal beers, and a discussion led by their Brewmaster, David Zuckerman.

Last year’s classes included a session on hops varieties; firkins; filtering; stouts, porters and barleywines; and how to taste beer like a professional. This years classes will fill up fast as they are limited to 30 students each. For $10 you can reserve a seat for the month and receive a generous amount of samplings with your class. Contact webguy@boulderbeer.com to reserve a seat.
