Here are the upcoming Colorado beer festivals and related events that are known or planned for the month of January.

Beer School
January 5, 2009 (Mon)
Boulder Beer Company
Boulder, CO
You can get an MBA (Masters of Beer Appreciation) from Boulder Beer as they announce the return of their monthly Beer School which is now in session. Each first Monday night of the month from November through April, Boulder Beer will be hosting seminars that feature samplings of seasonal beers, and a discussion led by their Brewmaster, David Zuckerman. Last year’s classes included a session on hops varieties; firkins; filtering; stouts, porters and barleywines; and how to taste beer like a professional. This years classes will fill up fast as they are limited to 30 students each. For $10 you can reserve a seat for the month and receive a generous amount of samplings with your class. This New Belgium Brewing sponsored event serves as a fundraiser for the Ouray Ice Park, this unique locally owned festival has become a Mecca for professional and amateur ice climbers from far and wide. The multi-day event includes: demonstrations, clinics, new product demos, competitions, and of course, plenty of opportunities to celebrate with a tasty New Belgium brew! Oskar Blues Beer Dinner

The dinner will feature a one-night-only menu of four courses of luscious Empire food matched with five courses of Oskar Blues’ liquid art. (Including a couple special OB beers).
