If you haven't gotten your tickets for the 2009 Great American Beer Festival yet, I'm sorry to tell you the 3-day, 4-session event is now completely SOLD OUT! They warned us that it would. It typically sells out every year and now just under 3 weeks before the event it is completely sold out.
So what does that mean to you if you still want to go? Well, you can probably find lots of people who bought tickets but now cannot go and are wanting to sell theirs. Just be careful how much you pay for these tickets. Ticket scalpers will be outside the Colorado Convention Center with extra tickets but just make sure you don't pay an arm and a leg to get a ticket. Some may go as high as a couple hundred bucks.
Each session has it's own ticket. Here is an example of what the Saturday Afternoon session ticket looks like. I've smudged out the bar code so you photoshoppers can't duplicate my code. Click to enlarge.
For those of you with tickets, the Brewer's Association just posted the annual GABF MAP out on their site. Supposedly, it's a bigger floor plan this year with wider aisles and more places to sit, eat food and hang out. With additional tickets sold this year they really needed more floor space.
I'll be there volunteering again on Thursday setting up kegs, icing them down and getting things ready to go. I hope to take more behind the scenes video again this year. Look for my reports shortly after the conclusion of this year's GABF.
