The Northstar goes vertical at Twisted Pine

Twisted Pine Brewing CompanyThe good folks down at Twisted Pine Brewing Company in Boulder Colorado passed along some news about an upcoming special tasting event at their brewery on November 5th, 2009. Fans of their Northstar Imperial Porter won't want to miss this one. The following is a quote from an email dated October 22, 2009.

"Join us on Thursday November 5th for an exclusive vertical tasting of 5 different vintages of Northstar Imperial Porter ranging in age from 2004 to 2009. Don't miss this opportunity to attend this special event with discussions led by owner Bob Baile, brewer Eric Mosiman and brewer Jeff Brumley.

Cost: $20 in advance, $25 at the door, includes 5 - 6oz samples, a 1 1/2 hour educational session and a commemorative Northstar Imperial glass.

This event is not to be missed. Sign up early as space is limited. Please call, email or stop by the brewery for reservations."

Northstar bottlesTheir website describes this beer as: "Northstar Imperial Porter is a deep robust ale brewed with only the finest ingredients. The full bodied malty flavor comes from chocolate, black and crystal malts balanced by a combination of American and British hops."
