Colorado Beer NewsHere's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today for Monday, August 1, 2011:

Gravity Brewing Company -A new brewery is being planned in Louisville, CO. To be named Gravity Brewing Company. Raising capital via investors. No word yet on target opening date or final location.

Crabtree Brewing Company - The Treehouse Brewing Club meets the first Monday of every month at Crabtree Brewing from 7pm to 8pm. All interested are welcome.

Crooked Stave - The first two bottled releases from Crooked Stave goe on sale at Funkwerks brewery taproom in Fort Collins at 6pm on Thursday August 11th. Bottled brews are - Pure Guava Petite Sour and Wild Wild Brett "Rouge" in 750ml bottles.

Left Hand Brewing - This year's Fade To Black edition will be a Chili Porter. Look for that later this year.

Left Hand / Terrapin collaboration brew this year will be named "Peaotch", a peach ale made with Georgia and Colorado grown fruit.

Don't forget to celebrate National Left Handers Day on August 13th.

Avery Brewing - Avery celebrates their 18th anniversary this week. Party planned this week to celebrate the event. Details on the August Colorado Beer Festival post.

Odell Brewing - Odell was named as the 3rd Best Company to Work For in Colorado (Small Category) by ColoradoBiz Magazine.

Celebrate National #IPADay at Odell Brewing. Specials on their IPAs. Free IPA poster with jug fill-up.

Aspen Brewing Company - Aspen's new brew canning line is almost completed. They plan to can their Blonde and IPA very soon.

Uptown Brothers Brewing Company - Announcement came the morning of August 1st that the new popular beer spot is closing it's doors for good as of July 31st (last night). We just named them one of the best beer bars in Denver too. Company is now for sale.

Gnarly Barley Brew Festival - The Gnarly Barley Brew Festival is this weekend - Sat. August 6th at 1pm. Over 70 brews from 24 breweries on hand. At the Larimer County Fair Ground. Details on August Festival Calendar.

Euclid Hall - Euclid Hall in Denver is celebrating their 1st anniversary on Tues, August 9th at 7pm. Tickets are $45 and are only sold at Euclid Hall.

Crazy Mountain Brewing - CMB is having a beer and food pairing dinner at Grouse on the Green pub (The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera) in Beaver Creek (Edwards, CO) on Tuesday, August 9th from 6pm-8pm. Cost $45 advance or $50 at the door.

The Mayor of Old Town - Fort Collins' newest beer spot, The Mayor of Old Town, is hosting "Monday Night Fights" tonight August 1st at 7pm. Two IPAs will square off. Brewery reps from Avery and Odell will talk up Maharaja and Odell Myrcenary. Winner keeps a tap and the other goes into the fridge.

International #IPADay - Grab an IPA and celebrate the 1st ever International #IPADay. Several Colorado breweries including Great Divide and Odell Brewing will be hosting special celebrations.

Denver Beer Company - Denver Beer is still looking for a qualified Bartender. If you want the job you better apply by tonight's deadline.
