Elk Mountain Brewing (Parker) is hosting a beer and cheese pairing event on Wednesday, August 17th at 6pm at the brewery. You will experience fine cheeses from around the world expertly matched with the featured breweries craft beers. Event tickets are $22.09 online.

Dry Dock Brewing Company (Aurora) is headed out to the Art & Ale Brew Festival at The Wildlife Experience on Friday, August 19th at 6pm and will be pouring some of their tasty beers. Several other Colorado breweries are expected to participate in the event.

Choice City Butcher & Deli (Fort Collins) will continue to be closed today for Phase 3 renovations on their restaurant. Look for lots of improvements tomorrow when they re-open.

Great Divide Brewing (Denver) is hosting a beer dinner at Fuel Cafe tomorrow, August 17th in Denver at 6pm. Cost is $50. See the August beer fest calendar for details and reservations.

Odell Brewing (Fort Collins) kicks off two consecutive nights of beer dinners at the Moot House Restaurant in Fort Collins tomorrow and Thursday at 6pm. Cost: $26.95.

Upslope Brewing (Boulder) won the Monday Night Fights battle for the best brown ale at The Mayor of Old Town last night in Fort Collins. Stop in at the Mayor to taste this winning ale.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) is co-sponsoring a beer dinner with Taps Sports Bar in Fort Collins on Thursday, September 15th at 6pm. Cost is $35 for a 4-course meal including pork tenderloin and chocolate mousse.

Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) says "if it's Tuesday it must be $3 pint day" at the brewery.

Rockyard Brewing (Castle Rock) is hosting a release party for it's new "Diesel Uber IPA" on Friday, August 19 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.

Hops & Berries (Fort Collins) Brew Tip of the Day: When substituting bittering hops, multiply the alpha-acid rating of the original hop by the required ounces, then divide by the replacement's alpha acid rating to give you the same bittering power: (old AA%)oz/(new AA%)=new oz. Happy homebrewing!
