Colorado Beer News Today is "Fight Procrastination Day". Cranknstein (Fort Collins) - in case you missed it, Fort Collins' newest bicycle shop, beer bar and cafe opened up this last weekend. Stop in during the morning for a cup of Joe, check out the bicycles and return later for an afternoon brew. Located at 215 N. College Avenue in downtown FoCo.

Great Divide Brewing (Denver) is hard at work creating their annual Fresh Hop Pale Ale. They brought in fresh picked hops (Centennial, Cascade and Simcoe) overnight and are brewing up a new batch. Look for their fresh hop beers by the end of the month.

Brew at the Zoo (Denver) - the annual brewfest at the Denver Zoo is happening this Friday, September 9th from 7pm to 10pm. This is a 21+ only event. Tickets will sell out so get yours soon. Entry includes souvenir tasting mug, complimentary appetizers, unlimited 4oz beer samples from 40 regional breweries. Toast one to your favorite animal Who knows, that animal might just be you!

Tuesday's Trivia Question: This small little brewery opened its doors on October 8th, 2010 in a Northern Colorado town. They are committed to following the old German purity law which governs which ingredients can be used to make beer. Their beer names are somewhat naughty and are full of innuendo. They also make Italian sodas. What is the name of this brewery and what town are they in?

Pateros Creek Brewing (Fort Collins) is planning to host Stevetoberfest 2011 at the brewery on September 24th from noon til 9pm. There will be festivities all day long, including live music, awesome food from their friends at Matador Mexican Grill, who are branching out into German-style grub just for them, and of course delicious beer.

Fort Collins Brewery (Fort Collins) will release their seasonal Doppelbock this Friday at the brewery. Revisit this award winning double smoked Doppel Bock. Only available for a limited time.

Choice City Butcher & Deli (Fort Collins)says: Make your plans for dinner and beers at Choice City this Wednesday for BEER NIGHT!! They've fine tuned their new keg cooler and will be serving all 37 beers on tap! They'll be tapping Russian Rivers PLINY THE ELDER and Avery MEPH-ADDICT for this special occasion!

TRiNiTY Brewing (Colorado Springs) is planning several events and releases this coming month. Tonight is New Belgium Night with Clutch, Kick and Belgo. September 9th is Didgeribrew release. Peche Noir release is set for September 16th. Brain of the Turtle, sour ale, is scheduled for October 2nd. Get some.

Crazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards) - Every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm is TWO DOLLAR TUESDAY. Get $2 pints during September.

Left Hand Brewing (Longmont) announced that today, their 4th installment of their Midnight Project Collaboration with Terrapin Beer Company is rolling off the bottling line. Look for their "Peaotch!" soon on shelves.
