Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) reminds everyone that Peachtree Cherry Wheat, their 2nd release in the Barrel Aged Series debuts today at the brewery at a release party at 5pm. Come taste this year old Zinfandel wine barrel-aged wonder - chock full of Colorado peaches and cherries. The 750ml corked bottles will also be available in stores next week.

Copper Kettle Homebrew CompetitionCopper Kettle Brewing Company (Denver) is in the last 6 days of their homebrew competition. Homebrewers - here's your chance to get your best homebrew in the spotlight and brewed up in a big batch at Copper Kettle. Deadline is Thursday September 15th to submit your fall and winter styles. All entry fees go to the charity of the winner's choice. Plus - Copper Kettle's Altbier is back on tap today!

Cranknstein (Fort Collins) - Colorado's newest bicycle beer bar cafe recently opened during the long Labor Day weekend and got some mention in two publications. Check out the latest on this bike-focused cafe from the Coloradoan and Thrillist.

Friday's Trivia Question: This metro watering hole is modeled after a traditional British brew pub and strives to be your "local" regardless of your locale. They specialize in "cask conditioned" or "live ales". They also carry one of the largest selections of Single Malt Whisky this side of Scotland. Durango Brewing Company (Durango) is hosting the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown Fundraiser at their brewery in Durango on Thursday September 15th at 5:30pm. Stop in for great brews and bluegrass while helping to support a good cause.

Crazy Mountain Brewing Company (Edwards) will debut their latest creation - Sticky Fingers Fresh Hop Ale - on Friday at the brewery. Come check out what the freshest harvested hops can do for an ale.

Grand Lake Brewing Company (Grand Lake) invites everyone to the Fall Festival with Arts and Crafts this weekend in Grand Lake. Get away to the mountains and check out the latest creations at their taphouse.

Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) is another step closer to opening day. They just got in their first few weeks of grain and hop orders. Their cold room will be done by Monday and then the place will be ready to paint. Opening day planned for October 28th.

Dad and Due's Breweria (Aurora) will have 2 of their GABF beers on tap today - their Basil Agave Blonde and their Palisade Peach Wheat. Check them out before you have to stand in line at the GABF to try them.

Breckenridge Brewery (Denver) beers will be the focus of a FREE in-store tasting bar today at Total Beverage in Thornton, CO from 4pm to 7pm. Taste for free then buy it on sale!

Odell Brewing (Fort Collins) - Friek fans! Odell is busy preparing for their next batch of their tasty Friek. This morning they were busy as beavers picking raspberries that will be destined for the brewpot. Stay tuned for news on the availability of Friek.

Rock Bottom Brewery (Denver) - A HazMat team and firefighters were called to the Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Denver this morning after a worker there dropped a keg on the floor where chlorine dioxide was spilled earlier in the week. The impact of the metal on the floor caused a spark and a flash of fire. No one was hurt, but a small toxic chlorine cloud was formed. The brewery and surrounding streets were closed as firefighters work to contain the spill. (Story from Channel 7 news)

Avery Brewing Company (Boulder) announces the Tap Room Barrel-Aged Release of their new Immitis! "Tomorrow's the day to get the newest barrel-aged sour ale masterpiece from their cellar. Bottles will be $8 each, cash only. 6 bottles per person max, but you can buy more if there are leftovers toward end of party. Bottles go on sale at 5pm, but the line will probably form sooner. $2 cans and special treat for folks waiting in line."

Mountain Sun (Boulder) - Franklin's Strong Golden Ale is on at Mountain sun! This beer is brewed with flaked oats and wheat for a creamy mouth-feel and a bone-dry finish. It features 3 different hop varieties: Amarillo, Saaz, and Styrian Goldings. An adequate hop bitterness helps to balance out the sweet malt. Flavor profile is fruity, floral, and spicy.

Funkwerks (Fort Collins) will be at World Beverage Wine and Liquor Superstore today in Loveland between 3:30pm - 6:30pm for a free tasting. Speak with the brewery rep and see what their brews are all about then stock up for the weekend at World Beverage.
