Boulder Beer Company (Boulder) took 1st place in the Brewer's Olympics at Vine Street Pub this last weekend. Silver goes to Breckenridge Brewery and Bronze goes to Great Divide Brewing Company. Grats to all the participants for a wild and crazy time.

Grimm Bros Farmers DaughterGrimm Brothers Brewhouse - posted a new label for their Farmer's Daughter Oktoberfest - a rich Oktoberfest lager (22oz bottles). Look for this seasonal brew on shelves very soon. You can bet the Farmers Daughter will be tapping during their upcoming Oktoberfest celebration at the brewery on Saturday, October 8th starting at 11am.

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project - recently registered the following beer names: Imperial Stout (Name TBD), Surette Reserva, Blackberry Petite Sour, Surette Wood Aged Farmhouse Ale, World Wide Brett Orange.

Monday's Trivia Question: This one-man operation recently opened in July 2011 in Colorado Springs. The brewery makes limited batches of several brews including an Abbey style ale, a Wheat beer, a pale ale and a Vanilla Porter. Recently, it debuted Bella Lavender Lager as well as an Apricot Ale. Name this Colorado Springs brewery.

Oktoberfest Denver - the first of two big weekends already sold over 200,000 beers. The fun continues this coming weekend in downtown Denver. Help Denver maintain their ranking of largest Oktoberfest outside of Munich.

Bonfire Brewing (Eagle ) - September in Colorado means Octoberfest (not sure why, but that's how we do it). Join our good friends at Bonfire Brewing for a night of beer drinking and pretending to be German. Prost! Their Octoberfest celebration happens on Friday, September 23rd from 7pm to 10pm.

Cranknstein (Fort Collins) - the beer bar may have been open since Labor Day weekend, but not the bike shop portion of Cranknstein will be open as of today. Stop in, check out the bikes and have a cold craft beer on tap or a hot cup of joe.

Cheeky Monk (Denver) - gather round on Wednesday, September 28th from 6pm to 9pm at the Cheeky Monk on Colfax for Barrel Knight - multiple breweries will all be tapping some barrel aged beers. What more do you need to know. Get there!

Carbondale Beer Works (Carbondale) - is hosting from Monday Night Footbal fun. Get $1 off all CBW beers all night. The wings will also be 1/2 off tonight!

Pateros Creek Brewing (Fort Collins) is hosting Stevetoberfest 2011 this Saturday, September 24th from 12pm to 9pm at the brewery. Please join in as they celebrate the tapping of their Märzen (and the brewer's birthday) - hence the name Stevetoberfest! There will be festivities all day long, including live music, awesome food from their friends at Matador Mexican Grill, who are branching out into German-style grub just for us, and of course delicious beer.

Oskar Blues (Longmont) is now in the process of canning this year's batch of Ten Fidy. Let the celebrations begin!

Three Barrel Brewing (Del Norte) now has Autumn Saison available, a deep amber colored ale with a dry flavor finish. Also a new batch of HopTrash (IPA) is ready while Bad Phil Ale is in the fermenter.

Beer of the Week (Sept. 19-25) is Avery Brewing Company's The Kaiser Imperial Oktoberfest. Sweet, malty with a noble floral nose. Perfect time of year for this beer.

Draught Masters Competition DenverPumphouse Brewery (Longmont) is featuring their "4 Alarm Copper" as their Beer of the Day. It'll sell for just $1 when you buy any burger today. Enjoy it tonight along with Monday Night Football in Longmont.

Fado Irish Pub (Denver) will host the Stella Artois Draught Masters Regional Semi-Finals on Saturday, September 24th from 8pm to midnight. Competitors will vie for a spot in the National Finals in Washington DC later this year. Come watch how the pros pour a beer following a strict 9-Step Pouring Rule system. Denver Beer Company (Denver) is planning several special tappings during the GABF. Here is a list of dates and tappings to look for: Wed. Sept 28 - 630pm- Kaffir Lime Wheat, 830pm - Fresh HOP IPA. Thurs. Sept 29 - 430pm- SmokedLager. 530pm - American ROJO. Friday Sept 30 - 430pm - Graham Cracker Porter, 930pm - Big $ Maple. Sat Oct 1 - 230pm - Kaffir Lime Wheat, 530pm- American ROJO, 930pm - Fresh HOP IPA. Sun Oct 2 - 230pm - Graham Cracker Porter, 530pm- Smoked Lager. Kegs go quick - so be there.
