Ska Brewing particpates in 2011 GABF Events

Skla BrewingStill looking for more activities to attend during GABF week? The folks at Ska Brewing of Durango, Colorado have several events you might be interested in. The 30th annual Great American Beer Festival brings in tens of thousands of craft beer enthusiasts into Colorado and all of the fun isn't just happening inside the Colorado Convention Center, it's happening all over Denver and other cities across the state.

Ska Brewing GABF Week - Schedule of Events

DURANGO, COLO., (Sept. 13, 2011) — We can’t wait to throw down for GABF. If you’re in, here’s where you can catch Ska Brewing and some of our partners in crime. Not real crime. Usually.


The Great Contenders – Wynkoop Brewing Co.
1-4:30 p.m., Wynkoop Brewing Co., Denver, CO
We’ll be feauturing 3 of Ska’s GABF medal-winning beers at the Wynkoop’s 2nd annual pre Great American Beer Festival showcase of Colorado craft beer. The Great COntenders features 50+ medal-winning and GABF-entered beers from over 20 of the state's best brewers.

Ska Brewing’s Sweet 16 Anniversary Party and Brewers Invitational
4:00 p.m., Ska Brewing World Headquarters, Durango, CO
This Blowout will feature live music from The Toasters, The Nuns of Brixton, and The Blue Hornets as well as special beers from 20 of the region’s finest craft brewers. There will be food vendors and author Ed Sealover will be on hand signing his new book, "Mountain Brew: A Guide to Colorado's Breweries."


Women-Only Event: Happy Beerthday! – Celebrate Years of Beers with Breckenridge Brewery, Ska Brewing and Special Guest Ginger Johnson
5-7:00 p.m., Wazee Supper Club, LoDo, Denver, CO
Join us for Happy Beerthday! Ska and Breckenridge turn 16 and 21, a women-only event celebrating "Years of Beers with Breckenridge Brewery and Ska Brewing!" Come celebrate during Denver Beer Fest at our birthday-style women-only beer celebration. Along with great beer, food, fun and a goody bag to take home we will have Women Enjoying Beer founder and beer enthusiast Ginger Johnson on hand to share her knowledge and expertise of women in the beer world.

Ignite Denver Off The Wagon

Featuring Ska, Great Divide, Renegade, and Odell beers. Guest speakers include Ska’s Dave Thibodeau, Stone’s Greg Koch, and Amanda Johnson from Odell.

Rackhouse Rare Beer Tasting
6 – 9:00 p.m., Rackhouse Pub, Denver, CO
The GABF week Colorado Rare Beer tasting will be again hosted by The Rackhouse Pub and will feature, among others, 3 single batch Ska Brews; Hoperation Ivy Fresh Hop IPA made with all Colorado ingredients, the Toasters Shebeen Black IPA, and Sethvletern 8 Organic Belgian Dubbel!

Beer For Boobs Brunch featuring the ForniSKAtor Dopllebock (aged on Maple) collaboration between Ska Brewing and Freshcraft! Come join the Ladies of Craft Beer at Freshcraft in Denver, Colorado as we clear up our hangovers from the Thursday night Great American Beer Festival session and help support breast cancer awareness.

Colorado Exotic & Esoteric Social
10:00 p.m., Falling Rock Tap House, Lodo, Denver, CO
Join Ska and other Colorado Brewers Guild members along with Sam Calagione from Dogfish Head for some one-off madness! We’ll be featuring our Hoperation Ivy Fresh Hop IPA made with all-Colorado ingredients, randalized with fresh Cascade hops from our beer garden!
