Pagosa Brewing Company (Pagosa Springs) will celebrate their 5th anniversary with a party on 11/11/11 and a Five Year Tasting of Nipple Mountain Beer. There will be plenty of beer, food and merchandise specials going on. Stop in for a celebration taste.

Eddyline Brewing (Buena Vista) has now officially started delivery on their first round of canned beer. Grats on making this milestone happen. Start looking for Crank Yanker IPA in 16oz cans around Buena Vista and surrounding areas.

Mountain Sun (Boulder) is hosting a Stout Month 2012 Homebrew contest. Come up with your best stout recipe (amateur brewers only), brew it up and submit it to their contest. Come up with a brand new recipe to help Mountain Sun pay homage to this diverse and classic style! The winning brewer will have the opportunity to a join a Mountain Sun Brewer and whip up a six-barrel batch of his or her brew on the Mountain Sun system. This beer will accompany our line up of original and guest beers during February’s Stout Month 2012. The winning brewer will also receive a fifty-dollar Stout Month bar tab. See rules on Facebook.

International Stout Day#StoutDay (November 3rd) is tomorrow! Calling on all beer enthusiasts to select a nice dark stout, preferably something you haven't tried before, and celebrate with others while drinking it. Head to your favorite brewery, pub, restaurant or your favorite chair at home and enjoy a rich, roasty stout. Best to support your local breweries so choose wisely. Rocky Mountain Brew Fest (@The Colorado Ski & Snowboard Expo) - Mark your calendars. Denver will have one last beer fest in the Colorado Convention Center this weekend, Friday through Sunday, November 4th, 5th and 6th. There will be four 3-hour sessions inside at the expo. Cost is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. 21+ only. Dozens of handcrafted beers available during each tasting session. Breweries include: Boulder Beer, Breckenridge Brewery, Bristol Brewing, Left Hand Brewing, Odell Brewing, Oskar Blues and Paulaner. Details at the Expo web site.

Oskar Blues (Longmont/Lyons) will be celebrating their 9th Canniversary on Friday, November 18th at all locations. A big party is bringing planned. Live music or silent disco? You decide. Details forthcoming. Everybody wish them grats on 9 great years!

TRiNiTY Brewing (Colorado Springs) - Tonight at 5pm it'll be Firestone Walker Pint Night. They will be tapping several Firestone brews and will be giving away pint glasses to the first 50 customers. Try a FW brew and then settle in for some great Trinity brew and grub.

Vine Street Pub (Denver) has a huge line-up of beers on tap today. Get either an 8oz glass, 16oz pint or 48oz pitcher. Selections today include: Nitro Dark harvest Pumpkin Stout, Nitro Illusion Dweller IPA, Annapurna Amber, Java Porter, Colorado Kind Ale, Illusion Dweller IPA, Blackberry Wheat, Quinn's Golden Ale, Champagne Lady, Cleveland Brown Ale, Hop Vivant, Jah Mon Ginger Wheat, Walkabout Stout and Killer Harvest. Learn To Homebrew Day (November 5th) - an officially sanctioned American Homebrewers Association nationwide event is happening this Saturday. If you've ever wanted to brew your own beer but wanted somebody to show you the ropes then this is your chance. Events all across the USA will be sponsored to show you how you can get into this great hobby (and possibly a new career). One such event will be held at Pagosa Brewing Company in Pagosa Springs on Saturday at 10:30am outside on their Beer Garden (dress warm). Nothing needed to attend - just bring your enthusiasm! Crazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards) - in this age of unemployment and recession the beer industry seems to be going strong. Things are going well enough at Crazy Mountain Brewing that they are planning to venture into a $4.1 million expansion this fall. Crazy Mountain hopes to eventually use the expansion to distribute out of state. The facility in Edwards will double in size which will allow them to ramp up their canning line. Breckenridge Brewery (Denver) - Holiday seasonal alert! Breck's 2011 version of their Christmas Ale is now on tap. This is truly a winter warmer weighing in at over 7% ABV. Selling now through the end of December and beyond.

Royal Gorge Brewing (Canon City) will be debuting their first beers on Thursday November 3rd (tomorrow) at 413 Main St. in Canon City during their Grand Re-Opening. They will have four brews to choose from; IPA focusing on the flavor and aroma of the hops (Galaxy is the big contributor), a Rye Pale Ale, English style Brown and a Kolsch. All on tap starting at 11:00 am. Stop in and welcome the opening of their brewery.

Pikes Peak Brewing (Monument) is planning a Pig Roast benefit dinner on Tuesday, November 22nd from 4pm to 9pm. For a minimum donation of $14.99 you get a plate full of roasted pig, lots of sides and a beer (or soda). Proceeds to benefit Tri-Lakes Cares. Also stop by to try their brews now on tap: Devils Head Red, Gold Rush, Rocky Wheat, Summit House Stout, or The Brits are Back - plus try their seasonals: Bear Creek Porter, Elephant Rock IPA, and Hot Shot Green Chile Ale.

Cicerone Certification (Exams) - Want to become a Certified Beer Server or Certified Beer Cicerone? Have you been studying for your Cicerone Beer exams? Hope so. The next local Cicerone exams are coming up in December. Take the exam at: Brewers Association Warehouse in Boulder on Saturday December 3rd. Or on December 4th from 11am to 3pm take the exam at Avery Brewing Company in Boulder. If you need a bit more time, there will be another exam at the Big Beers, Belgians & Barleywines Festival in Vail on January 6th at 2:30pm. More info at www.cicerone.org.
