Avery Brewing (Boulder) - Tap Room Alert! The second release in Avery's Tap Room-only sour series is here! Eremita II is a strong blonde sour ale that has been residing in seven French oak barrels for two years. After primary fermenting with a Belgian abbey yeast, they pitched it with their house Brettanomyces strain, house Pediococcus, and Lactobacillus. This produced a compendium of rustic farmhouse flavors, mild oak tannins, moderate lactic acidity, and a tropical fruit aroma. After feeding it a manly helping of apricots and peaches, they have Eremita II, an incredibly smooth 10.1% abv American Sour Ale. Gotta visit Avery to get some.

Lone Tree Brewing (Lone Tree) finally have their brew house fully installed. All of their fermenters are ready for beer and the cooler is operational. Opening day late this month is still a go. Look for an opening sometime near Thanksgiving, that is if the fermentation gods cooperate.
