Crazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards) - The big $4.1 million expansion is underway at Crazy Mountain Brewing Company in the Vail valley. The Vail Daily newspaper put out a follow-up article to the brewery's press release about this small but soon to be much bigger brewing operation. Read about why now was the best time to expand for this small ski-resort town brewery.

Mountain Sun (Boulder) recently tapped a new keg of Dark Harvest Pumpkin Stout at their pub in Boulder. Come in to get some of the last of the pumpkin brew for this season while it lasts.

Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) - Today is the first Monday of the month and that means tonight will be another meeting of the Treehouse Brewing Club, a Greeley based homebrew club that meets at Crabtree Brewing Company at 7pm. They are looking for new members, so if you've ever been interested in making beer or you are a seasoned brewer join them. While you're at the meeting, enjoy a pint or two of some fresh brewed Crabtree beers. The award winning Berliner Weisse and Oatmeal Stout are on tap.

Pateros Creek Brewing (Fort Collins) will be co-hosting a beer dinner at the Matador Mexican Grill (1823 E. Harmony Road) in Fort Collins this Thursday, November 10th. Great food, great beer, great people. Solid specials on everything. The party starts at 4:30 and goes until 9pm. Pateros Crew will be on hand to chat. Bonfire Brewery (Eagle) will host an avalanche-safety presentation followed by a ski movie with world champion big-mountain skier Dean Cummings. The brewery is at 127 W. Second St. in Eagle, and the event begins at 7 p.m on Tuesday, November 8th. Bonfire will screen the premiere of Cummings' “Steep Life” film, and he'll also present his “Be Snow Smart” avalanche-safety program. Before the feature and presentation, guests may arrive early, as Cummings will be available for poster signings during an informal meet and greet. Learn the methodology and protocols that have been developed by Cummings in his 20 years of guiding in Valdez, Alaska.

Odell Brewing (Fort Collins) - The Pinyon restaurant in Boulder will host a beer dinner with Odell Brewing on Sunday, November 13th starting at 6pm. The dinner will feature 5 courses, each paired with an Odell brew. Cost is $65 per person. Check out the event tab on The Pinyon's website for details.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - Dnalevol (Loveland spelled backwards) event. Come enjoy a night of wonderful food and award winning beer from Grimm Brothers Brewhouse. $30/per person gets you a five course meal, chance at door prizes and a lesson in cooking. Dinner will be held at the Wapiti Colorado Pub - 701 Clubhouse Road (at Mariana Butte Golf Course) in Loveland on November 9th from 6pm to 10pm.

Pug Ryan's Steakhouse and Brewery (Dillon) is undergoing growing pains. An expansion project has been underway for the last several months but is now really ramping up. Concrete is being poured to help expand the brewing facility to allow for growth. Plans include a new deck, larger brewing tanks (up to 12 45-barrel tanks), new bathrooms and an updated entryway. Stonework will also be added to the building. Once completed, their brewing capacity will have increased three fold. Construction will be completed around the end of February.

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - The first 50 people through the door today can get a vintage 1st generation CKBC pint glasses on sale for $0.01 - yup that's just a penny. First come first served. Then fill up that pint glass with a tasty brew. Find that penny in your couch or car seat and then head over to the Copper Kettle.

Focus on the Beer (Colorado Springs blog) will be turning one very soon. In their first year they've made nearly 200 posts, done interviews with brewers, documented festivals, had heated discussions, helped bring new beer to Colorado Springs, kept you posted on what's happening around town, and much more. They thought it being their 1st birthday and all, they would throw a huge party! They invited a number of great breweries to provide special and rare beers just for this occasion. New Belgium (Fort Collins) - BREAKING NEWS - a 2-alarm fire is being battled at New Belgium Brewery today. One of their large empty silos caught fire today around noon Mountain time (11/07/2011). Firefighters are battling the fire in an area separate from the visitor's center. Read the full story. According to DenverChannel 7 (Denver) - New Belgium Brewery says fire was in decommissioned spent grain silo. They were tearing it down. They may be set back 1 day in brewing. Fire under control, was burning insulation in decommissioned grain silo. Fire was put out. The Fort Collins Coloradoan posted a follow-up story.

Funkwerks (Fort Collins) will begin doing specialty 5 gallon kegs every Wednesday to spice up their taproom menu. They're excited about this week's batch: they're teaming up with Crankenstein (Bikes/Cafe/Beer) to bring you a coffee infused Belgian Resistance. Locally brewed beer with locally roasted coffee beans - yes please! Be sure to come in Wednesday, as this one will probably go quick!

Cactus Bend Brewing Company (Fort Collins) - Hey Fort Collins, you might be getting yet another micro-brewery in town. According to the Coloradoan, Cactus Bend has been looking at property in the downtown FoCo area and has plans to open in the short term future. Reportedly they are looking at the same property that another start-up (probably Black Bottle Brewing) is looking at. Read the full story in the Coloradoan.

Oskar Blues (Longmont/Lyons) - Want a free beer?? ... Donate kids bikes to Bicycle Longmont -- drop off at the Tasty Weasel Taproom or Oskar Blues Homemade Liquids and Solids for a free pint! Come on - clean out that garage, grab those old kids bikes and get a brew. Your kids won't miss their bikes until Spring anyway, right? ;-)

Boulder Beer Company (Boudler) - Killer Penguin, their barleywine, will be released today at 4pm. Stop by the brewery if you're in town for this year's "best yet" vintage! Killer Penguin is shipping now to select markets across the U.S.

Prost Brewing Company (Denver) - Brewery under development just signed a lease for it's brewery location. Look for Prost Brewing Company at 2540 19th Street in Denver, CO sometime in 2012. As they said - "There's no turning back now".

Dillon Dam Brewery (Dillon) announced that tomorrow's Tap-It Tuesday may be the best yet! They'll have a new Imperial India Stout that was aged for 2 months in a Breck Distillery Barrel! Features big hops, malts & whiskey! Then, later this week, they are hoping to tap the DAM IRA on 11-11-11. SKOL!! Got to Love BIG BEERS!
