AC Golden (Golden) - This is the time of year that AC Golden releases their annual winter seasonal "Winterfest". This year marks the 25th year that Winterfest will be on shelves. Each bottle is individually numbered and this year there will be just under 100,000 bottles issued. Tis the season!

Equinox Brewing (Fort Collins) was inspired by several sources recently to create today's firkin - Eclipse Brown Ale. It's a brew conditioned with charred Palo Santo wood (a nod to Dogfish Head Brewing) and Jasmine flowers (a nod to Elysian Brewing) and named "Hippie Johnny" (a couple nods to The Modern Lovers). Tapping at noon.

New Planet Beer Company (Boulder) - Contract brewer New Planet continues to expand their distribution of Colorado made gluten-free beers. You can now find New Planet in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MN, MO, NB, NM, NC, ND, OK, OR, SC, UT, WA, WY. Cheers!

Wit's End Brewing (Denver) - One of their loyal customers last Friday, suggested a great beer blend — Jean-Claude Van Blond and Slam Dunkleweizen, or as they now call it “Jean-Claude Van Slam". Come by the taproom tomorrow and give it a try.

Pateros Creek Brewing (Fort Collins) - If it's Thursday that can only mean that Pateros Creek is hooking up another OUTLAW TAP keg. Today's outlaw is a Black Walnut Porter. This batch taps at noon and runs til it's gone - and they don't last long so get there early if you want some. Also PCBC is going to release a gluten free ale tomorrow. This is an Orange Cream Ale named Greyrock. If you have gluten free friends, have them give it a try. Also, tomorrow is Veteran's day so they'll be giving a free pint of their standard beers to all veterans and active military.

This list is updated often so check back regularly. I might not get every new release, but if you know of one that I missed let me know.

Mountain Sun (Boulder) - speaking of new beers on tap: Redemption Red is back on tap at Mountain Sun! Huge on the malt, and just as big on the hops, Redemption Red is one of their newest Mountain Sun Ales. Notes of citrus compliment the deep rich flavors of caramel malt. Intensely aromatic, this ale is dry-hopped with both American and European hops. Full bodied and aggressive yet seductively balanced; Redemption Red finishes with a medium hop bitterness and pleasant alcoholic warmth.

Euro Beer Awards - Two Colorado breweries took home awards at the 2011 European Beer Star Competition and the Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival this month. Odell Brewing won Gold in the British Style category for their 90 Shilling in Stockholm and also won a Silver in the Imperial IPA category for Myrcenary. Also, Oskar Blues won a Bronze medal in the English-style Pale Ale category for Dale's Pale Ale. Grats to our local breweries in world competition!! (Source: Brewers Association)

Telluride Brewing Company (Telluride) - Business is good! TBC is adding capacity to their brewhouse after only being open for a month! They just purchased two more fermenters to help keep up with the demand for their craft beer. The fermenters are due in next week.

AB-InBev (Fort Collins) - New Breck 50th Anniversary Ale - In honor of Breckenridge Mountain Resort's anniversary season, Budweiser has created a commemorative Breck 50th Anniversary Ale. You're invited to the ceremonial keg tapping at 11:00 a.m. at the T-Bar on opening day 11/11/11, where the special brew can be found all season long. (Bloggers note: Of all the breweries in Colorado they chose Bud to make it?)

Kannah Creek Brewing (Grand Junction) - Just tapped today... The Nutty Brewnette is back. Slightly hoppy brown ale with hints of chocolate and roasted malt. Served off our nitro tap to make it smooth and creamy. Be careful it might make you feel a little nutty. Can you say, "Nitrogen Brown Ale?" I knew you could.

Bierwerks (Woodland Park) - is having a few new beers coming out this month. They're having a release party tonight (November 10th) for their Schwartzbier-an exceptionally dark lager with russet tints.malty on the nose with coffee and dark fruits on the palate and a bitter-sweet finish(5.5% abv).

Then, next Thursday Nov. 17 Bierwerks will be their Dunkelweiss - the dark version their Weissbier. The Dunkelweiss is made from a mixed mash of wheat and barley malts, but unlike a Weissbier, it also contains a large array of lightly to thoroughly caramelized or roasted malts that give it both its color and its complexity. The Dunkelweiss, has all the characteristic and differentiated flavors of a sophisticated wheat ale, overlaid with chocolatey to roasted flavors. (5.5% ABV).

And then on November 23rd look for Bierwerks' Weihnachtsbier (Christmas Bockbier) pronounced "veye-nuchts-beer", German for Christmas bier. A Bavarian seasonal specialty, a strong bockbier for when the days get shorter and the temperature plummets. Traditionally brewed with the first fresh malt and hops of the fall harvest. Dark amber to hazelnut brown in color. 8.5% ABV, the perfect winter belly warmer. Cheers!

Blue Moon Brewing (Denver) - (Press Release) The holiday season is a time to celebrate with friends and family, reminiscing about the past and toasting to the future. One exceptionally flavorful way beer drinkers have enjoyed sharing holiday cheer in recent years is with Blue Moon Grand Cru. Introduced in 2009, Blue Moon Grand Cru is a rich, robust interpretation of Blue Moon Belgian White Belgian-style wheat ale.

"In Belgium, a Grand Cru is traditionally a big, strong, flavorful beer brewed to celebrate the holiday season and other special occasions, and brewing Blue Moon Grand Cru for the holiday season is something we look forward to all year long," said Blue Moon Brewmaster Keith Villa. "This beer has a foamy head, big body and a crisp, tangy flavor, which makes it a nice complement to a wide variety of seasonal dishes and perfect for celebrating with friends."

An artfully crafted, full-bodied beer, Blue Moon Grand Cru features rich, creamy notes, with subtle hints of orange peel and coriander. It delivers a warm, spicy finish.
