Colorado Beer NewsToday is Veterans Day and a very special 11-11-11 Binary Day. Let's all salute and give thanks to all of our military veterans and active duty personnel. A big CHEERS and thanks for all you've done for our country. If you spot one today - consider buying them a beer or two. Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) - Today, 11/11, Arvada Beer Company will be paying tribute to all so have served and provide the blanket of freedom we sleep under every night. All veterans and active duty service personnel will receive $1.00 off every beer. Also today they will be releasing their Harvest Fest Pumpkin Ale. Open from 11am to 11pm.

Trinity Brewing Company (Colorado Springs) is one of the growing number of Colorado breweries expanding their brewing operations this year. They've just purchased two new stainless steel serving vessels and will be installing them in December. Look for even more Trinity brews to be on hand in the very near future. Also, in honor of Veterans Day, all veterans who stop by Trinity Brewing today will get their 1st beer FREE or $1 off a growler! Today is also their Emma's Coffin Release Party at 5pm.

Wynkoop Brewery (Denver) - Homebrewers! Come to the Wynkoop tomorrow, November 12th from 1pm to 4pm for a big afternoon of Do-It-Yourself beer education, tasting and more for members of the American Homebrewers Association. Not a member? Pateros Creek Brewing (Fort Collins) - Wishes a Happy Veterans Day to all veterans and active military and offers them a FREE pint of their standard beers as a Thank You from them. Cheers!

Pagosa Brewing Company (Pagosa Springs) turned 5 years old today 11-11-11. They are hosting anniversary specials in celebration of 5 years of brewing and serving great food. Today have a 5-year vintage tasting of NIPS - $3 each or $5 for a large snifter (2011). Food pairings include Beer Cheese soup, farm-to-table Shepherd's Pie, and Poor Richard's Cake.

Bull & Bush (Denver) - B&B fans! Check out the special releases on tap at the Bull & Bush this weekend: Abt 12 Dark Trappist Ale, 40th Anniversary Wheat Wine, Captain Midnight Black Saison and 2010 YULE FUEL!

Dry Dock Brewing (Aurora) - It's that time of year again when the brewers at Dry Dock compete against one another for the bragging rights (and bottling rights) for Dry Dock's holiday ale. Saturday, November 26 at 12:00pm at Dry Dock Brewing Company. Come join them for the 3rd annual Ho Ho Ho Slapdown brewing contest! The brewer's will each be entering a special brew. And you get to vote for your favorite!

Colorado Craft Beer Radio (Saturdays 12-1pm AM760 Denver) - Don't miss the party at Libations this Saturday from 11-4. The grand re-opening party will be at the SE corner of Arapahoe and Parker roads in the Foxfield shopping Center. Free beer, wine and food tastings. CCBR goes live at noon and the band Under The Radar starts at 1pm. Some of the breweries include Oskar Blues, Dry Dock, Elk Mountain, Ska, Crazy Mountain and Shock Top. That's this Saturday at 11am @ Libations Wine and Spirits.
