Colorado Beer NewsToday is Cyber Monday, a day to whip out that credit or debit card and do some serious shopping online. All that virtual effort is going to work up a real thirst later on. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Monday, November 28th, 2011.

Euclid Hall (Denver) is planning a special tapping of Firestone Walker's 15th Anniversary ale and their barrel-aged imperial stout Parabola this Tuesday, November 29th at 8pm. Also look for a special guest appearance by co-founder David Walker.

Mountain Sun (Boulder) - Join in tonight, November 28th at the Mountain Sun on Pearl to listen to power trio John McKay, Steve Saviano and Tony Harp blend traditional folk music with a rock and roll vibe. Music starts at 10, but the beers will be pouring all day. Spend part of Cyber Monday with Mountain Sun.

Ale House at Amato's (Denver) is hosting an Avery Tasting and Small Plates event on Wednesday, November 30th from 7pm to 9pm. Join the crafty chefs at the Ale House and one of Colorado's best craft breweries for an Autumn-inspired beer dinner. Four small plates and five beer tastings expertly paired. Cost is $25 per person. Cranknstein (Fort Collins) has a week full of stuff going. First off, don't forget about Happy Hour all day! $1 off all draft beers. Tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7:30pm CROMA will be back pickin' some old-time music. Lastly, this Thursday is their first ever Ladies Night! There will be a drink special for all the ladies that come in, plus they will have an extra special beer on tap to mark the occasion.

Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) - Consider heading to Arvada Beer Company to do your cyber Monday shopping as they have free WiFi during business hours. They are also offering a "Beer for a Year" special for $100 - that'll get you a growler fill a month for 12 months. Look for Party Pigs available soon as a fill up option.

Cheeky Monk (Colfax in Denver) - It's buy the glass keep the beer night at Colfax at 7PM featuring the 1st in the limited edition Duvel Art Series glasses. $10 glass & Duvel beer.

Eddyline Brewing (Buena Vista) - Monday's are pizza and a pint day at both locations in Buena Vista. Beer Release alert! Today marks the release of their new Madame Molley's Brothel Brown - going on tap this afternoon. Give it a try when you're in town.

Dry Dock Brewing (Aurora) - Mondays are about to get a whole lot cooler. Starting on Monday, December 5th at Dry Dock from 5:30pm to 6:30pm (Power Hour) you'll be able to get 25 cent Wing Hut wings with your favorite Dry Dock Beer. 15120 E. Hampden Ave. Also, grats to brewery Bill Eye for winning the Ho Ho Ho Slapdown with his Sticke Alt (Imperial Alt) on Saturday.

Great Divide Brewing (Denver) - is getting psyched about heading to the SXSW Festival coming up in March 2012 in Austin, Texas. They will be presenting along with Untappd about beer and location-based services. Are you going to SXSW? Be there!

Cider the next Craft Brew? (AdAge) - an article in today's Advertising Age web site claims that craft hard cider sales have jumped up 25% this year and is starting to get a lot more notice, particularly from women. While it's still just a fraction of what craft beer sales are, even the big 3 macro beer makers are now taking notice in cider sales. Even Colorado has it's own craft cider business - Colorado Cider Company. They will be releasing their new Ol' Stumpy oak barrel aged cider very soon. Crazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards/Vail) - In honor of The Birds of Prey World Cup starting this week in Beaver Creek, Restaurant 8100 in the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek now has a Crazy Mountain private label brew called Hops of Prey on tap. Take a break from watching the races and warm up with a pint.

Coopersmith's Pub & Brewing (Fort Collins) posted a reminder today that tomorrow, November 29th at 5pm, they will be having a tapping party for this year's Jingle Ale. There will also be Bagpiper & Santa, Scrumpy Apple Cider, and Barley Wine available. Growlers of Jingle Ale will be available for $9.50 to go.

Colorado Craft Beer Radio (AM760 Denver) will be broadcasting live from Asher Brewing in Boulder for their 2nd Anniversary Bash this Saturday, December 3rd. They will on live from Noon to 1 and festivities will go long after. Please come out and join them for their first Boulder show! You'll get a $1 off Pints while they are live. Get a brew tour, play some cornhole but be there this Saturday at 63rd and Nautilus in Boulder.

AC Golden Brewing (Golden) - Herman Joseph's Private Reserve is now available in six-packs just for the holidays. Usually sold only in select bars and restaurants in Colorado, this hard-to-find but worth it beer can now be found in six-packs in liquor stores around Colorado. "We get so many requests from our drinkers to make HJ available for take home enjoyment, but we just can't make enough year-round to do that," said Glenn Knippenberg, president and co-founder of AC Golden Brewing Company, the brewery that makes Herman Joseph's. "Our brewers work hard to make sure that we can at least offer six-packs during the holidays for folks to share and celebrate." Herman Joseph's Private Reserve is a German-style lager available in Colorado only.

River North Brewery (Denver) - Another new brewery is under construction in Denver. This new brewery is planning to start brewing it's beers during the last couple of weeks of 2011 and planning for an early 2012 opening. You can check out their construction photos and taproom layout on their official blog. They plan to offer up a wide variety of beers and specialize in Belgian style brew. River North Brewery will be located at: 2401 Blake Street in Denver, CO. Stay tuned for more info.
