While everyone else at the office is starting to get sick from traveling around during Thanksgiving, consider working from home today and avoid the crud. Avery Brewing (Boulder) - Mark your calendars! On Sunday, December 18th, Hops & Pie will host Denver's Littlest Big Beer Fest featuring the beers of Avery Brewing Company. The event kicks off at 2pm and runs until 5pm. A wide variety of Avery beers in both keg and bottle will be available. Stop on by at 3920 Tennyson Street in Denver on December 18th.

New Belgium Brewing (Fort Collins) - Speculation on the final location for New Belgium's 2nd brewing plant continues this week as The Asheville Citizen Times reports that Kim Jordan, CEO of New Belgium and others will be in Asheville next week to meet with local officials. Sierra Nevada is also eying the Asheville area for expansion. A final decision on the expansion location by NBB is due by the end of the year.

Star Bar (Denver) - Chocolate and beer do indeed pair well together and they'll be mingling at the Star Bar on December 15th. Featuring beer from Great Divide Brewing Company and chocolates from the Chocolate Therapist of Littleton. Stay tuned for more details. Located at 2137 Larimer Street in Denver just two blocks from Coors Field.

Ska Brewing (Durango) and Venture Snowboards are participating in a Silverton Mountain Season Kickoff Party on Saturday, December 3rd from 8pm to 11pm at the Grand Imperial Hotel in Silverton, Colorado. There is a $6 cover to enter. This year's Season Kickoff features live music from the Crags and Farmington Hill, Ska drink specials, and tons of giveaways from Purgatory, Purl Wax, Silverton Mountain, Silverton Powder Cats, Smith Optics, Skullcandy, Spark R&D, TREW Gear, and Wolf Creek Ski Area among others. The highlight of the evening will be the raffle for a coveted limited edition Ska/Venture custom snowboard. This year's deck features the Euphoria Pale Ale graphic and the distinctive Venture snowflake, and is destined to become a collector’s item for beer and snow lovers alike.

Boulder Beer Company (Boulder) has two beers on the Winter Mini Tour at Old Chicago restaurants. If Boulder Beer sells beer in your state, stop in to your local Old C's and grab a pint of Never Summer Ale or the exclusive Old Chicago Black Diamond Chocolate Porter. Tour starts today and runs through December.

Mountain Sun (Boulder) - Did you know that the Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery posts their updated tap list on their Facebook page each and every day? You never know what they'll put up on tap. Also included is their guest tap. Today's guest tap includes Ommegang Rare Vos Belgian amber ale.

Big Beers Belgian & Barleywines Festival (Vail) - The 2012 12th annual festival is quickly approaching. The event will be held in Vail, Colorado at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa on January 5th through the 7th. Event packages are already selling out. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet you might want to hurry as two dinners and full event packages are already SOLD OUT. Visit bigbeersfestival.com for more details.

Wynkoop Brewing (Denver) - Speaking of festivals, this weekend's Parade of Darks at the Wynkoop has most of their Advanced Tickets selling out fast. Get yours quick if you still want to taste some 60+ dark beers from all over the world. All proceeds help Metro CareRing.

Odell Brewing (Fort Collins) - 'Tis the season to be giving and Odell Brewing is teaming up with Begin Again Toys (www.beginagaintoys.com) for a Holiday Toy Drive on Saturday, December 14th from 1pm to 4pm. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase a "Begin Again" toy at cost for needy kids in the area this holiday season and receive a pint of Odell beer for your generosity. Toys will also be available for your loved ones at regular price.

Bull & Bush (Denver) is bringing back their Christmas Beer Tasting on December 10th. It will be hard to top last year’s 122 beers but they’ve got a few things in their bag of toys. 20 tickets for $20 and beers will cost 1-4 tickets, depending on how difficult it is to get your hands on them! The fun starts at 1pm. Get there early because some of those beers disappear faster than Santa up the chimney. They’ll also be collecting toys for tots again this year and have special prizes for the best Christmas Cookies and Ugly Sweater.

Oskar Blues (Longmont) will be on hand at the Old Chicago in Longmont tonight for a tapping of their special firkin of Vanilla Cafe au Chub. They're rollin' in with a crew so be on hand to greet them and try some of the firkin while it lasts. Also - want a free case of beer from Oskar Blues? Simply adopt their office snake (a real live snake) and you'll also get a case of beer if you can provide him with a good home. DM them on Facebook or Twitter if interested.

Trinity Brewing (Colorado Springs) is helping Focus on the Beer (blog) celebrate their 1st anniversary this Friday at 5pm. Expect to find a killer line-up of beer and raffles for fun prizes all night. Check out the guide at FotB.
