Falling Rock Tap House posts year end 2011 events

Falling Rock Tap HouseThe GABF is over, but events at the Falling Rock Tap House keep going. The good folks at Falling Rock have laid out some good times ahead in November and December. The following is a newsletter / press release from Chris at Falling Rock outlining a couple nice events to check out for November and the rest of the year.

Falling Rock Taphouse Announcements

As the weather changes and you dust off your ski/boarding gear for another season of sliding down a snow covered mountain, The tap wall here at Falling Rock undergoes an amazing transformation. It's time for the winter/Christmas (or should that be ChaunaKwanzamasstice) Beers to start being poured. Remember, back when dust was new, and the holiday seasonals didn't come out till the day after Thanksgiving? (or the decorations at the stores) this year I got my first sell sheet (NOT a pre-sale order sheet) in mid September. Ridiculous. Oh Well It's time now so we will be hooking up 6-8 kegs by happy hour today including (current vintages of) Hibernation, Santa's Little Helper, Nitro Winter Warlock, and some others that are arriving today. Other beers will be hooked up as the space becomes available (pretty rapidly over the next 2 weeks).

Tuesday November 15th - Vanberg & DeWulf 30th Anniversary celebration.
On November 15, 2011, the best Belgophile bars, restaurants, and stores across the nation will be raising a glass to celebrate Vanberg & DeWulf's 30 years of importing Belgian beers to American shores. We could not have hit the big 3-0, however, without the help and support of beer patrons like you. For this Special Occasion the Falling Rock will be tapping into Dupont's Avec les bon Voeux & Scaldis Noel. The nationwide toast will be at 9pm (mountain time) but we'll have the beers going by 5pm for your enjoyment.

Tuesday, November 29th 7pm. 14th Annual Christmas Beer Dinner. Chef Cheryl is already brainstorming over this year's deliciousness to be paired with the current & past crops of Holiday Beers. We will have a 4-5 course meal paired with around 10 different Holiday Beers from this & past Vintages. This will be the first opportunity to sample the past vintages as most of them we only have one keg (most in a 5 gal size) of the past vintages. Tix on Sale at 11:11 on 11/11/11 $55 per person if purchased by Sunday November 27th at 7pm. $60 after that, if still available.

Update 11/15/2011: Chris sent a follow-up email late last night with one more event.

Howdy Folks,
Couple of updates,

Friday November 18th @ 5pm we will be Celebrating Firestone Walker's 15th Anniversary with a tapping of a keg of XV, the 6th installment in their Anniversary Beer Series: (From their press release) - "Since founding our brewery in 1996, we have specialized in the rare art of brewing beer in oak barrels. In the fall of 2006, we released a limited edition oak-aged strong ale called 10 to commemorate our 10th anniversary. The experience was greater than any one of us could have ever imagined. We now present XV, our sixth release in what has become an annual autumn rite at our brewery."
