Denver Chophouse (Denver) - Announcing a "Meet the Brewer/Tapping Event" on Monday, December 19th from 6pm to 7pm to tap the first batch and showcase Denver Chophouse's special handcrafted seasonal brew. Brewmaster Kevin has created a special batch of Dopplebock and is anxious to share it. This beer is a super chocolaty malty black lager with a smooth dry finish. At 6% alcohol by volume, it is on the strong side but that is what warms up your gullet as it goes down. Attendees will receive: a complimentary pint on Denver Chophouse, Small bites of nibbles, and 20% Off Dining Certificate for same evening. They will also have a drawing for a $100 Dining Certificate and a few Growlers. Join them for this FREE event!

Mountain Sun (Boulder) - Super Kind just tapped at Mountain Sun on Pearl Street! This American style Barleywine uses the same grain and hops as the kind ale, but it is brewed to 10% ABV, and hopped to higher proportions. Unlike the Kind, Super Kind is dry hopped in the fermenter with Cascade pellets. Try one for $4.50 per wine glass.

Avery Brewing (Boulder) - A new twist on Avery's American Sign Language night. Shut Up and Sign is a benefit for the Rocky Mountain Deaf School on Tuesday, December 6th from 6pm to 11pm at the Avery Tap Room. Avery will have a silent auction and $1 from every pint purchased goes to the RMDS. Bring your friends, even if you don't know how to sign. This is a great opportunity to learn for a good cause.

New Belgium (Fort Collins) told Business Week that they are planning to build a small pilot test brewery in Fort Collins that will cost just over $652,000. The walls will be supported by huge timbers. The furniture will be rough-hewn, like something one might find in a giant's farmhouse. It has an "uncorporate" feel.
