April 2012April marks the traditional end of the ski season in Colorado and the start of the Major League Baseball season at Coors Field in LoDo. It's also time to think about Spring festivals. There are always plenty of drink and food events going on at most Colorado breweries and entertainment venues. This page will be updated often as news of upcoming events are announced.

Here is a list of the upcoming Colorado beer fests, beer dinners, tapping parties, seminars and related events for April 2012. These listings are updated every week, so stop back often to see the latest happenings with beer in Colorado. Bristol Brewing Prohibition Party

Colorado Rockies Opening Day

It's opening day and the Rockies are back at it for their 20th season. They open up a 9 game home stand (April 9, 11-18) starting with division rivals - San Francisco Giants. This is a time when the entire lower downtown (LoDo) comes back to life and the various bars and venues fill once again. You can be sure there will be plenty of beer flowing in LoDo today! Upslope Beer Dinner

On Sunday, April 15th Upslope Brewing will be hosting their first brewery held beer dinner! Centro Latin Kitchen's executive chef, Ian Clark, worked with Upslope setting up a killer five course meal to be paired with Upslope beers. The event will kick off at 5:30pm with an hour welcoming reception in the brewery while they serve Top Rope and hors d'oeuvres. They'll walk folks around the brewery and encourage everyone to chat with their neighbors before sitting down in the tap room at 6:30pm for the main event. Tickets are on sale in the tap room and at Centro. All guests will receive a commemorative Belgian-style Upslope and Centro logo glass. Seats are limited!

Since 1993, the Microbreweries for the Environment Benefit has raised well over $100,000 for local environmental causes. This is a carbon-neutral event. You are encouraged to walk, bike or bus to the event. Over 20+ Colorado breweries will serve their best beers. Cheap $2 pints! The benefit will feature live musical performances by 3 top local bands. Expect another sell-out. Doors typically open at 8pm and event starts at 8:00pm and runs til 11:00pm.
