Rifle Brewing Company (Rifle) - The little brewery tucked away inside Sammy's on Park Avenue in Rifle now has their Chocolate Porter on tap. What a great brew to start out your New Year on. Cheers!

Rock Bottom Brewery (Denver) - Their first new tapping of the year is called SUBZERO - a Vanilla Brown ale and it hits that tap on Thursday, January 5th starting at 6pm. Come downtown for a taste of this vanilla treat.

CAUTION: Brewing Company (Denver) - Looking for something Wild this new year? Check out the Wild Blonde Ale from CAUTION now being served up at the Ale House at Amato's. It's like a pint of summer in the midst of winter.

Avery Brewing (Boulder) - Mark your calendars. On Friday, January 6th at 9am, tickets start going on sale for the 10th Annual Boulder Strong Ale Festival to be held on Friday and Saturday, March 9th and 10th at Avery Brewing Company. This is a very popular event and tickets tend to sell quickly. Cost this year is $40 per person. Details at www.averybrewing.com. Once you have your tickets, stick around for a Friday tapping of Trogdor the Burninator at 5pm on January 6th.

Oskar Blues (Longmont) - It's Tasty Tuesday at the Tasty Weasel tap room. Stop by after 2pm for some Cascade Dry Hopped Dales today. A unique brew tapped each Tuesday. Then on Friday, they'll be tapping a Firkin of Dry Hop DPA at 5pm. Next week on the 10th, it'll be a Dry Hopped Pils, Quadzilla on 1/17, more Cascade Dry Hopped Dale's on 1/24, and a return of Quadzilla on January 31st. Need another excuse? Thought not.

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - A busy 1st week of 2012 is in store at Copper Kettle starting with their 1st Annual Mystery Beer Release on Friday at 5pm. Only 2 kegs of this mystery brew will be available. A Polish food truck will be on hand outside to help satisfy your noms. Then on Saturday (1/7) their Mexican Chocolate Stout is making a comeback. Next up on Sunday, get $1 off beers one hour before and during the football game with Chef Driven out serving food. Finally, on Monday it's Pub Trivia night starting at 6pm and again at 7pm. 4 person max per team.

Twisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - You've got just two more days to prepare yourself for some of the hottest chili beer this side of hell. Twisted Pine will release Ghost Face Killah - a brew made with Ghost peppers (200x hotter than jalapenos). Are you up to the challenge?

Vine Street Pub (Denver) - It's T-Shirt Tuesday in Denver. If you buy a Vine Street Tee you'll get a free house beer. If you wear a Vine Street Tee you'll get happy hour prices all day long.

Estes Park Winter Festival (Estes Park) - The 3rd annual Estes Park Winter Festival (beer fest) is coming up on Saturday and Sunday, January 14th and 15th from 11am to 5pm each day at the Pavilion inside the Stanley Park Fairgrounds. There will be an indoor/outdoor beer fest / wine tasting featuring 7 Colorado breweries, 8 wineries, a hard cider company, mead makers and local distilleries. Entry to beer fest is given with festival admission ticket for $25 which includes a commemorative glass. There will also be a Chili Cook-off during the same time to warm you up included with the price. www.estesparkwinterfestival.com

Pateros Creek Brewing (Fort Collins) is hosting a Gluten Free Beer Tasting on Friday, January 6th from 4pm to 8pm. There they will release their Greyrock G.F. beer to the masses. Pints will be $5 and tasters will be $2. Complete their gluten free beer survey and get a $1 discount!

Canned Craft Beer Day is coming! On Tuesday, January 24th open a can of craft beer and celebrate Canned Craft Beer Day. Follow the discussion on twitter with #cannedcraftbeerday

Funkwerks (Fort Collins) will be releasing another specialty keg of the week tomorrow. It's a beer even Simon & Garfunkel would approve of. It's Scarborough Saison - made with parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. Stop by for a taste.
