Yak & Yeti (Arvada) - There's plenty new to taste at the Yak & Yeti (beer wise). They've recently tapped their Russian Imperial Stout early as they ran out of another popular beer sooner than expected. Also today at 4pm, they'll be releasing their Toasted Coconut Porter - that's one you'll want to get some of early. Attention regulars: Yak & Yeti just launched a Pint Club Card program. Grab a card and get it punched. Drink 10 pints & earn a free logo pint glass. Details on their blog.

Frozen Dead Guy Days (Nederland) - the annual festival celebrating Grandpa Bredo who was put on ice in a shed has been saved! The Nederland Area Chamber of Commerce put the rights to the fest up for sale and it was purchased by Amanda MacDonald who vows to keep the festival in Nederland for some time to come. Set your calendars for March 2-4, 2012 for this years event. Lots of fun frozen / dead activities. Sponsored by Avery Brewing and Left Hand Brewing.

High Hops Brewery (Windsor) - The homebrew shop and hop farm who's adding a brewery in Windsor, Colorado is making good progress in building their new brewery. They just posted a picture on Facebook showing off their work on their new 400 square foot tasting room. They submitted their Federal application on December 23rd. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can sample some of their new beers - like their Honey Red Beer called Hallelujah Honey, also a lemon pilsner, a black ale and an American pale ale.

Equinox Brewing (Fort Collins) has finally joined the Twitter nation and will begin tweeting updates. Follow them at: @EquinoxBeer

Echo Brewing Company (Frederick) - One of the next upcoming breweries to open just got some new custom made tasting trays made. Head on over to their Facebook page and check out the uniquely shaped serving trays for their samplers. Echo also just got in their first shipment of brown bottle growlers. Brewery plans to open sometime in early 2012. Stay tuned!

Brewery Music (NEW this week) - Check out the latest on-going updated page showing the best in music at Colorado's Breweries. See who's playing at your favorite Colorado Brewery. Updated daily. New Belgium (Fort Collins) - The nation is eagerly waiting final word on where New Belgium will locate it's 2nd brewery. According to the Asheville Citizen-Times yesterday, they are fully hoping and expecting their town in North Carolina to be chosen. They stated that "Should they decide to go somewhere else, it would be the biggest shocker". Guess we'll have to wait a bit longer and see.

Molson Coors (Golden) - The only reason I'm posting something about Molson Coors is that they had a new keg label approved for their Coors Third Shift Märzen Amber Ale. The use of the name Shift seems familiar as New Belgium is also coming out with a beer (a pale lager) called Shift later this year. Wonder if there will be any conflict over this name between the two breweries.

Crooked Stave (Fort Collins) - Sales of their Cellar Reserve Memberships are still available according to Chad Yakobson, owner/brewer. Memberships went on sale in December and Chad is waiting for a few more memberships to be sold before starting to roll out more info to those who signed up. Members can expect an email soon on Crooked Stave's next steps on how they plan to roll out the membership cards, t-shirts, glasses and beer releases for the Cellar Reserve.

Odell Brewing (Fort Collins) announced today that their annual release of Odell Red Ale will happen next week. Odell Red Ale, their Spring seasonal, is generally available from January through April each year. Also, this Saturday, January 7th, Odell Brewing will be sponsoring a tasting event at Eldora Mountain Resort from 11am to 4pm. Hit the slopes then enjoy a refreshing Odell brew.

Great American Beer Festival (Denver) put out a great promotional video today about the GABF featuring Charlie Papazian. Give it a view!

If you can't view the video above, try it on YouTube.

Carbondale Beer Works (Carbondale) - Tomorrow night (Thursday) is Trivia Night at Carbondale Beer Works. Sign up your team of 2-6 people for a great night of fun. A $5 donation per person goes to Bicycles for Humanity. $1 from every CBW beer sold will be donated to this great cause as well.

Fort Collins Brewery (Ft. Collins) is bringing back a favorite from last year. Look for The Incredible Hop Imperial Black IPA to be released again on January 16th. Fermentedly Challenged gave it a review last fall and loved it. Can't wait for another.

Dry Dock Brewing (Aurora) - Dry Dock's new Brewmaster is Doug Hyndman. Please join in congratulating Doug on being named Dry Dock's new brewmaster. Dry Dock is very excited that he has accepted the position to lead Dry Dock's brewing staff. They feel his strong technical expertise and organization will help them succeed in 2012 and beyond. And, he successfully showed Dry Dock that they can brew 14 times in 5 days to get all the taps full! That also means we will probably see more hop bombs on the board as well... Hopabomination 3, Hopabominatin 4, Hopabomination 5.

Great Divide Brewing (Denver) - It's the 3rd night of their beer and cheese pairings with the new seasonals. Join them in the Tap Room tonight from 5-8pm for some Espresso Oak Aged Yeti and aged cheddar. Plus, all samples of the new seasonals (Nomad, Old Ruffian and Espresso Oak Aged Yeti) will be free! Double yum!

Twisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - Twisted Pine is expanding their capacity once again. They just received two new 30 barrel brite tanks and one 60 barrel fermenter. Expect to have more fresh beer on hand very soon at Twisted Pine.

Renegade Brewing (Denver) has an exciting Saturday planned! Denver Pretzel Co. will be at Renegade with a Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel beer topper that will be paired with their Black Gold Peanut Butter Cup Milk Stout. $8 gets you a stout and pretzel. They'll start serving at 2 and when they're gone they're gone! Reeses would be proud.

National IPA Championship - The field is set for this year's Brewing News National IPA Championship and Colorado breweries need your help in making sure their IPA's do well. Colorado IPA's include: Pagosa Brewing's Single Hop, Ska Brewing's Modus Hoperandi, Great Divide's Titan IPA, Avery Brewing's India Pale Ale, and Boulder Beer's MoJo IPA.
