Colorado Beer NewsToday is Cuddle Up Day. It's a day meant to be shared with a special someone. Or perhaps it could be for getting to know your favorite beverage better at your local watering hole. Either way, get cozy! Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Friday, January 6th, 2012.

Colorado Craft Beer Radio (AM760 Denver) - CCBR is heading to Vail for the 12th annual Big Beers, Belgians and Barleywines Festival. Tune in tomorrow as they'll be broadcasting live from the hall at the Vail Cascade. It all kicks off at noon tomorrow after the Wine Guys Radio Show on AM760. Catch up on past episodes via podcast on their web site.

Avery Brewing (Boulder) - A reminder, that tickets for the Boulder Strong Ale Festival on March 9-10, 2012 go on sale this morning (January 6th). Don't wait too late as this event is expected to sell out. Link to ticket site available on the Avery web site:

Bonfire Brewing (Eagle) - Hey fans, while you're up in the mountains for the big fest this weekend, stop by the city of Eagle tonight and stop by their town park for a humongous Christmas tree bonfire. All the cities discarded trees are going up in flame tonight starting at 6:00pm. Grab a growler of your favorite brew at Bonfire Brewing and watch the flames rise! Location: Eagle Town Park - 6th and Wall Streets.

Strange Brewing (Denver) - Head on over to Hops & Pie in Denver tonight as Strange Brewing will be bringing over a firkin of their Krieasion tonight. Tapping time will be at 6pm sharp! Also they'll be bringing over some of their Farmhouse Ale. Come enjoy their yummy Belgians. Location: 3920 Tennyson Street in Denver.

Steamworks Brewing (Durango) - Today at 3pm, Steamworks will bring out a very special firkin of their Framboise Belgian Brown Ale. This raspberry treat has a base of a rich, Belgian-style brown ale re-fermented in a cask with lots of raspberries. The result is a balance of chocolate and fruity richness, cut with tartness. It's a taste not to be missed! $1 draws and $2 tankers available. Be there at 3! Location: 801 E. 2nd Ave in Durango.

C.B. & Potts (Highlands Ranch) - The Holidays are over, a New Year has been rung in and the Super Bowl is only weeks away. Why not treat yourself to a special evening at C.B. & Potts in Highlands Ranch? Ty Nash, their beloved Brewer, has teamed up with Chef James and Chef Estrada to create a unique five-course meal using their Handcrafted Beer as inspiration. It all takes place on Wednesday, January 25th, at 6:00pm. Meals are $49.95 per person. Call 720-344-1200 to reserve your spot today.

High Hops (Windsor) - The homebrew shop (and soon to be brewery) in Windsors is brewing! Come witness the magical birth of beer! It's the mysteries of all-grain brewing revealed this weekend as they brew on Saturday, January 7, here at High Hops @ The Windsor Gardener. We will be doing an all-grain brew beginning late morning. They encourage you to bring your own brew from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday--and perhaps make some new friends.

Fort Collins Brewery (Fort Collins) - Have you tried Woody? It's a strong American ale aged on oak... delicious. You can try it today at Gravity Ten Twenty at Fort Collins Brewery with today's burger special, the Nutty Blue: a Colorado beef burger topped with walnut crusted blue cheese, blue cheese dressing and candied walnuts.

Crazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards) - From 5:30pm to 7:30pm, author Ed Sealover will be doing a book signing and reading from his new book, Mountain Brew. They are also releasing "Lawyers, Guns & Money" barleywine, their big 10% ABV anniversary beer.

New Planet Beer (Boulder) - The gluten free brewery has announced that they are expanding distribution to Pennsylvania starting in March. The list of states for New Planet continues to expand!

Denver Beer Company (Denver) - It's back! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 11th from 3pm to 6pm. Their Graham Cracker Porter is returning once again. This is one popular beer and I'm sure it'll go quick.

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - Don't forget - tonight is their Mystery Beer Party Release. The food and fun starts at 5:00pm. There will only be 2 kegs of this mystery beer, so no growler fills tonight. Come out and see what it is!

Bristol Brewing (Colorado Springs) - On Tuesday, January 17th, Bristol Brewing will be co-hosting a Beer Dinner at the Pourhouse Bar & Grill in Loveland, CO. The dinner will feature 4 courses and be paired with a unique brew from Bristol Brewing. Seating starts at 6:30pm with dinner being served at 6:45pm. Cost is $35/person not including gratuity.
