Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) - Saturday, January 14th, Take a pre-game knee with beer at 2:00pm. It's the release of Bitter Sunday Brewer, The Pale Ale. There's only a very small amount of this delicious brew, so don't miss out.Oh, and they have to share the description that the brewer gave us for this awesome beer: Brewing beer on a Sunday during football season is rough. Brewing beer on a Sunday when you can't even pick up the games on the radio is even worse. Brewing beer on a Sunday during this miraculous Broncos season, when all you can do to follow the game is press the refresh button on your computer...well, that just sucks! This American Pale Ale originally started out as the 'Tebow Kool-Aid,' a light, easy drinking beer with a lot of bright, fruity hops flavors that cleansed the palette and the soul. However, during a series of 'unfortunate' events (mainly Broncos deprivation), the Sunday Brewer made some 'miscalculations' resulting in this bitter, yet citrusy, full bodied, pale ale. Don't you just love beautiful disasters?!

Pikes Peak Brewing (Monument) - 4319 Smoke Red Ale - This month, they will be celebrating the service and commitment of their local firefighters with a smoked red ale brewed specifically for them. The 4319 Smoked Red Ale is loosely based on Devils Head Red, but with smaller hop profile, less alcohol strength and the addition of 80 lbs of smoked malt. The addition of malt cured over cherry wood provides a nice smoked backbone that balances a sweeter red beer, but finishes dry and satisfying. Join them for the release party on Saturday, January 14th at 5pm. A portion of sales from the 4319 will benefit the local union and the citizens they serve. The local union, which includes Tri-Lakes/Monument, Wescott, and Black Forest fire districts, helps pay for additional training, equipment, and firefighter safety.

Wit's End Brewing (Denver) - "The Mad King" a 8.3% ABV weizenbock, will debut today in the taproom. They are also expanding their taproom hours slightly to include Thursdays 4-8pm starting next week! Also, their Green Man Ale is back on tap again today.
