Hoppy Dog Brewing (Fort Collins) - This brewery is still in the planning stages but already their beer is starting to win awards. They just found out that their Cranberry Dim Wit took 2nd place in the fruit beer category at the Paterson AFB Homebrew Competition recently. Stay tuned for more news on this brewery coming to Fort Collins.

Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) - Each and every Wednesday, Arvada Beer Company is giving away $50, that is if you can prove yourself to be a master at Texas Holdem. They play for free at the brewery at 7pm on Wednesday nights. $25 for 1st, $15 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd - gift checks good towards anything they sell. Most weeks they have around 20 people playing so your odds of winning aren't too bad.

Boulder Beer Company (Boulder) - Tomorrow night (Thursday 2/23) at the Denver Athletic Club located at 1325 Glenarm place, join Boulder Beer for beer and brats with Brewmaster David Zuckerman at 6pm. A $20 entry fee includes all beer samples and a tasty Planet Porter brat. Call (303) 534-1211 for more details.

Oskar Blues (Longmont) - Guess who's turning 3? The Tasty Weasel Taproom at Oskar Blues that's who! And to celebrate they are throwing a celebration party on Friday, February 24th at 1800 Pike Road in Longmont from 4pm(ish) to 10pm(ish). There will be a Brewski Ball Tournament, a Silent Disco, brewery tours and lots of food from the OB Bonewagon. Come party. There will be a Bicycle Lonmont Cruiser Ride from downtown Longmont to the brewery as well. www.oskarblues.com

Winter Bier Fest (Woodland Park) - This Saturday from 12pm to 4pm at the Ute Pass Cultural Center (210 E. Midland) in Woodland Park is the Winter Bier Fest. This event runs in conjunction with the Woodland Park Arts Alliance Wine Tasting. You can sample beers from over 10 Colorado breweries including: AC Golden, Arvada Beer Company, BierWerks, Bristol Brewing, Del Norte, Dry Dock, Durango Brewing, Kevin Baity Kraft Beers, Odell Brewing and Ska Brewing. Cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Info at the BierWerks website.

Mountain Sun (Boulder) - There's only 1 more week left in Stout Month! Have you had your fill of dark beer yet? If not, then head to any of the three Mountain Sun locations (Southern Sun and Vine Street Pub). They still have over a dozen unique stouts on tap for you to try. Hurry over soon before Stout Month is just a memory.

Asher Brewing (Boulder) - Today at Asher, come in and mention you saw their post on Twitter or Facebook (or Fermentedly Challenged) and get $1 off pints from 3-6pm today. The Verde Food Truck will be there from 3-6pm as well to satisfy your noms.

Frozen Dead Guy Days (Nederland) - The annual celebration of Cryonics is coming up fast. This year's event spans March 2nd through the 4th in Nederland. Come for a big line-up of live music, coffin races, polar plunges, frozen t-shirt contests, ice turkey bowling, brain freeze contests and of course lots of good Colorado craft beer in the "ReAnimate Yourself" Beer Tent at Chipeta Park. American Craft Beer Radio (FM 102.3 ESPN Denver) - Tune in this Saturday from noon to 1pm. Host Gary V's guests include 4 Colorado beer bloggers and writers including David Young (Coloradoan), Jonathan Shikes (Westword), one of the Denver Off The Wagon team and yours truly, Dave Butler (Fermentedly Challenged). We'll be talking Colorado beer and sharing stories about writing about beer. If you don't get 102.3FM in your area, listen in LIVE from the 102.3FM ESPN Radio web site.

Horsefly Brewing (Montrose) - Come to the brewery on Tuesday, February 28th for Community Tap Night benefiting the Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club. Horsefly will donate 75 cents of every pint sold to that organization. Starts at 6pm.

Lone Tree Brewing (Lone Tree) - Join LTB's head brewer Jason Wiedmaier and Rock Bottom's Head Brewer Phil Phifer on Tuesday, March 13th from 5:30pm til the beer runs out at Rock Bottom (Park Meadows) for some informal side by side beer comparisons. The brewers will be pouring samples of styles they brew and will discuss similarities and differences between them. Mark your calendars!
