Beer Caucus (Colorado) - Excerpt from the Denver Business Journal (Ed Sealover) - Anyone doubting how powerful Colorado’s brewing sector has grown need only know this: Legislators have formed a Beer Caucus to discuss its impact on the economy. The caucus is informal and has yet to meet. But its founding establishes the brewing industry as one of the few in the state that has a group of legislators dedicated to discussing and promoting it. “It’s exciting,” said John Carlson, executive director of the Colorado Brewers Guild, whose members include 81 of the roughly 130 breweries in the state. “But then again, this is one of the bright spots in the economy.”
