OSKAR BLUES BEATS THE DRUM TO COLORADO’S LONGEST RUNNING “SHORTEST MARDI GRAS PARADE” ON FAT TUESDAY

LONGMONT, Colo. - Let the good times roll on Fat Tuesday (2/21/2012) with Oskar Blues’ fourteenth Mardi Gras celebration. Like the Big Muddy running through Colorado, Oskar Blues will be bringing that southern creed with cochon de lait (whole roasted hog), king cake, hurricanes, jambalaya, gumbo, oysters on the half shell, bbq, alligator, beads, balloon makers, face paintings and Colorado’s longest running “Shortest Mardi Gras parade”.

Both Oskar Blues locations (Lyons & Longmont) will be pouring the 2011 GABF Silver Medal winning (American India Pale Ale Category) Deviant Dale’s IPA that is set to be released as Oskar Blues’ first 16oz can on March 1st, along with Abita Amber at the Home Made Liquids & Solids location in Longmont. Jackamo will provide that foot stompin’ Zydeco, “get up and dance” blues in Longmont while the Zydecoasters will be working that feel-good Louisiana party music at Grill & Brew in Lyons.

Oskar Blues Mardi GrasOskar Blues Grill & Brew (Lyons, CO) will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary in April as Dale’s Pale Ale marks the ten-year anniversary of the craft-beer-in-a-can movement that started in that 60 year old barn next-store in November. The Tasty Weasel Taproom will be celebrating their three-year anniversary by hosting the TW3 Releasiversary on February 24th featuring Silent Disco, the Bonewagon Food Truck and the official Oskar Blues release of Deviant Dale’s IPA in 16oz cans.
