Colorado Beer NewsToday is Unique Names Day. This is the day to salute friends, acquaintances and loved ones who have a unique name. Let’s appreciate them for going through life without seeing their names on things such as ready-made key chains, etc. If you or anyone you know has a unique name, celebrate it! Even craft beers can have some unique names as well. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Tuesday, March 6th, 2012.

Carbondale Beer Works (Carbondale) - Today is Trout Unlimited Tuesday. Come into the brewery and tie one one (a fly that is) with a free fly tying demo and an extended happy hour until 7:00pm. Located at 647 Main Street. Opens at 4:00pm.

Dad & Dude's Breweria (Aurora) - You can earn FREE pizza and a round of drinks today IF you can find the Dude on Breckenridge Mountain today. He'll be wearing a humulus lupulus colored jacket with stripes and riding a deck with brewery stickers all over it. Best of luck finding him!

Crazy Mountain Brewing cansCrazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards) - More Crazy Mountain brews and being canned and are available in the Vail Valley. Their "Mountain Livin' Pale Ale" and "Lava Lake Wit" are debuting in 12oz can six packs. And very soon will be available along the Front Range along with their . Kyle Hollingsworth Band (Mountain Ski Towns) - It's time for a mini-tour from Kyle Hollingsworth and his band. Kyle will offer up his first keg of beer (brewed with the help of Breckenridge Brewery - a Dunkle) for FREE at all of his concerts this week. Schedule includes stops in: Avon (March 7th), Carbondale (March 8th), Breckenridge (March 9th) and Steamboat (March 10th). Check the Brewery Music Listings page for locations, times and ticket cost. Get there early to get a free beer during the show, those kegs will drain fast.

Twisted Pine Brewing Hoppy BoyTwisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - More craft beer heading for cans! Coming this Spring from Twisted Pine will be 16oz tall boy cans of their popular Hoppy Boy IPA. Twisted Pine is constructing their own can line with the help of the guys at Wild Goose. Soon you'll be able to sip that hoppy essence from a big tall one! Stay tuned for a release date. Renegade Brewing (Denver) - Join Renegade at Jonesy's Eatbar for a four course meal paired with four different Renegade beers at Monday, March 12th from 5pm to 10pm. Proceeds from this will benefit eh Leukemia Lymphoma Society. This meal is part of the Denver Restaurant Week. Cost is $52.80 per couple plus $10 per person for the beer pairing. Restaurant located at: 400 E. 20th Avenue in Denver, CO.

The Forge Publick House (Fort Collins) - This Wednesday, March 7th, marks the start of their series of brewery nights. Crabtree Brewing of Greeley will be the first, they are bringing down a special keg for tapping. From 6pm to 8pm the drafts will be $3 a glass with other specials, apps and promo from the brewery. So come down, learn about and support some great Colorado breweries. Next week is Asher Brewing from Boulder and all of March is full with some great surprises.

Breckenridge Brewery (Denver) - The following is a recent video posting from bourbonblog.com depicting the release of Breck's Stranahan's Well Built E.S.B. Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - Grimm Brothers is delighted to invite you to the release of The Three Golden Hairs, their Czech-Style Pilsner. This beer is brewed with German Pilsen malt and hopped with Saaz hops, giving it a clean, crisp malt backing accentuated by the floral hop aromas and flavors. Bring your friends, and join the Grimm Bros at 5:30pm tomorrow, March 7th, in the taproom to quaff some of this new springtime brew. They will also be honoring their "Beer Drinker of the Year" recipient during this celebration.

Ska Brewing (Durango) - Calling all Ladies in the Durango area - Join the Barley Pop Betties on March 14th at 5:30pm for their monthly meeting. Tapas and a Tour! Dave Thibodeau, Co-Owner of Ska Brewing will take you on a tour of the brewhouse and give everyone the inside scoop on the early days of Ska Brewing! Feel free to bring a small appetizer (Tapas) to share with the group!

Avery Brewing (Boulder) - On March 7th at 6:30pm, The Blue Star (restaurant) of Colorado Springs presents an Avery beer dinner to remember. Reservations required for this multi-course gourmet menagerie, call 719-632-1086. $50 plus tax and gratuity per person. See the link here for a full menu!

Great Divide Brewing Company (Denver) - Heading to SXSW this week? Great Divide will be there and giving a talk. This week, they will be making the trip to Austin, TX for SXSW Interactive and will be joining their pals Untappd for a panel about beer, social media and how location-based services bolster the social pint, called Social + Location + Mobile = The Perfect Beer. If you’ll be at the fest, make sure you swing by and see them!

Boulder Beer Company (Boulder) - the Kinda Blue Blueberry Wheat ROLL-OUT PARTY is this Thursday, March 8th, from 4-7pm at the brewery! Join in for $3 pints of Kinda Blue, the Kinda Blue Balloon Pop Game (for your chance to win a KEG, among other prizes) - and to celebrate the pending return of SPRING & SUMMER!

Wynkoop Brewing Company (Denver) - Tonight Wynkoop launches a series of acoustic music every first Tuesday with a showcase of artists on their way to South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX. The show starts at 7pm. Come support some great local musicians.
