Brewery Collaboration (Fort Collins) - Last year, most of the craft brewers in Fort Collins got together and brewed up a special collaboration beer in honor of American Craft Beer Week in May 2011. The beer they created was dubbed Collusion 2011 and the huge batch was gone in less than two weeks. This year, the Fort Collins brewers are doing it again to create Collusion 2012. Brewers from C.B. & Potts, CooperSmith's, Crooked Stave, Equinox Brewing, Fort Collins Brewery, Funkwerks, New Belgium, Odell Brewing and Pateros Creek recently got together to create a light pale ale designed to appeal to a wide range of drinkers. Look for this to debut during American Craft Beer Week - May 14 - 20th this year.

Colorado Rockies (Denver) - The streets of LoDo in Denver were filled with over 50,000 fans during yesterday's home opener at Coors Field. Local bars, breweries and restaurants were overflowing with fans who drained a lot of kegs of craft beer. Hopefully these establishments stocked up for the week as the Rockies are in town for a 9-game homestand. While the Rockies may have gotten blown out by the Giants yesterday, that didn't diminish the fans love of fine beer. The Rockies are off today but back at it again on Wednesday. Look for downtown Denver to go through a lot of beer during the next week or so.

Select volunteers hopped on a bike and pedaled for their beer and manually helped to grind the grains to be used to make the next upcoming batches of beer. Read the full story over at Westword.

Hoppy Dog Brewing (Fort Collins) - David Young over at the Coloradoan wrote up a nice article about the upcoming new brewery in Fort Collins set to open sometime this Fall. Loveland Ale Works (Loveland) - Heard in a tasting room in Loveland last night, Loveland Ale Works will open up sometime in May after seeing a couple of delays due to inspections and waiting on licensing to be completed. Loveland's 4th brewery will soon be open in the historical downtown Loveland area shortly. They will be located at: 118 West 4th Street in Loveland. Stay tuned for word on their official opening day.
