Colorado Beer NewsToday is Eight Track Tape Day. For many of you, that old piece of audio technology is something you've never experienced before, and that's probably a good thing too. If you feel up to trying something you've never experienced before try a new craft beer while you listen to your favorite music on a more modern platform. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Wednesday, April 11th, 2012.

Colorado Boy Brewery (Ridgway) - A Spring cleaning reminder from Colorado Boy - they will be closed Monday, April 23rd through Monday, April 30th. They will re-open at 4pm on Tuesday May 1st with brand new outdoor seating.

Breckenridge Brewery (Denver) - Big changes may be coming for Breckenridge Brewery according to an article on Westword today. Reportedly, Breckenridge is looking to sell their big brewery at the Kalamath Street location and build a brand new 125,000 square foot facility on a 10-acre sized campus. Breckenridge doesn't want to discuss any new location specifics at this time but they do state that Jefferson Country, Denver, Littleton and other areas are in consideration. This new facility would have the capacity for up to 200,000 barrels a year. Avery Brewing of Boulder is also looking to move to a much larger campus for it's operations. Looks like a lot of changes are in store for the future!

Dillon Dam Brewery (Dillon) - It's official! Their patio is now open! Come up to Dillon for some Dam lunch and a pint in the sun. If it gets a bit cool they have heat lamps that can warm up the area in no time.

Breckenridge Beer Festival (Breckenridge) - The annual Breckenridge Beer Festival is happening this weekend up in the mountains on Saturday, April 14th from 2pm to 5pm and is located at the Main Street Station in Breck. There will be 25 breweries and around 60 beers represented at the fest and you can listed to live music all day while you sample beers. For more info visit their website at: www.breckenridgebeerfestival.com. Sorry, no pets allowed at this event.

Black Bottle Brewery (Fort Collins) - BBB is teaming up with David Higgins, from the pilots lounge, to bring you a director/brewery collaboration. Their film is called "The Aviation Cocktail". Black Bottle Brewing will be brewing a beer called The Aviation Cocktail for the movie and will be tapping the beer at the brewery and at the release of the film in Fort Collins. BBB will also release the beer where ever else the film might play that serves alcohol in Colorado. They are excited to be involved with a director/brewery Collaboration!

Bristol Brewing (Colorado Springs) - Beer tasting, with a golf theme? Sign us up! Bristol Brewing will be one of the featured breweries at the 4th Annual Country Club Classic on June 15th to benefit the American Lung Association in Colorado. The first 100 registrants are only $30. Don’t miss out – register today at www.countryclubclassic.org.

Lone Tree Brewing (Lone Tree) - Beer at 6am? At least for one day. On Thursday, April 12th, Lone Tree will be featured live on Fox 31's Good Day Colorado TV show. They will open up at 6am and be offering up $1 off all pints until 9am. Bring your breakfast and have an early brew and watch the action.

Avery Oud FlorisAvery Brewing (Boulder) - The 12th in their Barrel-aged Series has been announced. This beer, named "Oud Floris", is a barrel-aged sour brown ale and weighs in at 9.53% ABV. This release will once again be in 12oz bottles and have a production run of 225 cases. Most of this beer was aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels and smaller portions were aged in bourbon, rum and chardonnay barrels. Quite the blend! The beer was bottled last week on April 6th. Look for this beer to be released in the very near future.

The Springs Beer Fest (Colorado Springs) - The date for this year's Springs Beer Fest is finally out - it will be held on Saturday, August 11th at Antlers Park. More information on this annual festival coming soon.

Dad & Dudes Breweria (Aurora) - Here's their starting line-up for today: White Grape Wheat, Liquid Resume Pale Ale, D&D IPA (Dank), 80 Shilling, Agave Brown, Toffee Porter. Beers up next - 303 Wheat, Falcon IPA, Hazelnut Brown, and Parietal Porter. One of these is bound to please you.

Revolution Brewing (Paonia) - There have been several music bookings slated for Revolution Brewing this month. Check the Brewery Music Listings for times and details. Music starts at 5:30pm on April 12, 18, 25, and 27. Also, on April 19th will be Community Night for the Conservation Center. Sign up for the float trip and celebrate Earth Day. $1/beer purchased is donated. Then on April 24th, Revolution will host the Chamber After Hours Event and an Open House at the brewery. Located at 302 Grand in Paonia from 5pm - 7pm.

Del Norte Brewing (Denver) - Starting today, Del Norte beers are on the Cinco de Mayo tour at Old Chicago at selected Colorado locations. Also, they are planning to host a party at the brewery for Cinco de Mayo. Stay tuned for details on that.

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - Food truck update! There will be no food truck tonight. However, tomorrow night they will have Crazy Good Eats out; Friday, Chile Billy for the Imperial Helles release and Saturday, The Sesame Seed Truck. Be hungry and come thirsty!
