But watch out, it's also Friday the 13th and you may just have some bad luck with finding words today. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Friday, April 13th, 2012.

Aspen Brewing Company (Aspen) - Starting today, Aspen Brewing Company will begin stocking shelves of liquor stores between Aspen and Glenwood Springs with cans of selected beer. Over 20 liquor stores will begin getting their Blonde ale today and later this Spring Aspen's IPA will also begin hitting shelves. Aspen Brewing has set its sights on statewide growth and this is just the beginning. By this fall, Aspen Brewing hopes to enter the Denver/Boulder market with their canned beer. Men's Health Study (Univ. of Illinois) - According to a recent study by the University of Illinois in Chicago, it was found that men who drink a couple of beers were actually better at solving brain-teasers than their sober counterparts. While continuing to drink will obviously not improve on that situation, it was curious to see that a couple of beers seemed to improve some skills. However, the study also found that memory skills decreased with alcohol consumption. So while you may be able to solve a brain-teaser a bit faster, you'll probably forget where you put your car keys. Eddyline Brewing Co (Buena Vista) - Here's a special you'll like, Come into the taproom for lunch anytime from now until 4/20, purchase a lunch and you'll be eligible to save $1.99 on a 6 pack of Crank Yanker IPA to take with you.

Trinity Brewing (Colorado Springs) - If you were still planning to get tickets for the 4th Annual SAiSON and Farmhouse Ale Festival for Saturday, April 14th, you're now officially out of luck. The fest is now SOLD OUT. But, if you do have your tickets, then the fest starts at 11:00am. If you can't get tickets, head to the brewery tonight at 5pm for the Slap Yer Mammy Release Party. This is a favorite Double IPA and weighs in at 10.5% ABV.

Colorado Craft Beer Show (AM760 Denver) - Tune in on Saturday, April 14th at noon. The Gubna and Turk will be talking with Mobile Canning of Longmont and talk about their growing success in Colorado helping breweries with their mobile canning solution. Tebo from Breckenridge Brewery will also chime in and talk about their upcoming plans to move to a new 10-acre campus. The show is available on iHeartRadio as well.

Dry Dock Brewing (Aurora) - Today's Friday Firkin at Dry Dock will be a Blackberry Porter. The firkin taps at 3pm. Stop in and try it while it lasts.

Breckenridge Beer Festival (Breckenridge) - The pre-sale for tickets ends today at noon. Don't miss out on your chance to save some money. It'll cost more at the event otherwise. Visit: www.breckenridgebeerfestival.com.

Steamworks Brewing Company (Durango) - Get to Durango on Friday April 20th. They're having some awesome live bluegrass music from Jeff Scroggins & Colorado starting at 5:30pm. There's no cover charge and you might even win a keg of beer from Steamworks that night! Stop in for a brew and music next Friday.

Fort Collins Music eXperiment (FOCOMX) - Are you ready for some great music in Fort Collins this weekend? Over 300 bands playing across over 30 different venues. Some of these bands will be playing at breweries across the city including: C.B. & Potts Clubhouse, The Fort Collins Brewery, Odell Brewing Company, Equinox Brewing as well as some awesome beer bars including Cranknstein, Choice City Butcher & Deli and some pre and after stuff at The Mayor of Fort Collins. Odell Brewing (Fort Collins) - Odell Brewing's Facebook page showed them putting bottles of their collaboration beer "Pond Hopper - Double Extra Pale Ale" into shipping boxes. It still won't be until early June until this brew will be available on shelves. This beer was a collaboration between Thornbridge Brewery (UK) and Odell Brewing Company. It will be available from both breweries.

Butcherknife Brewing Company (Steamboat Springs) - Here's an official announcement from this soon to open brewery: "Followers and friends, attention! Just want to update everyone: we're working hard to bring Steamboat it's first production brewery. We are closing in on a system, nailing down some property and working with an incredibly knowledgeable, awesome consultant. And in a week and a half, participating in a Sam Adams-led coaching event. Oh, and we have a lot of beer brewing as well. We're working hard and gearing up for the Craft Brewers Conference in a couple weeks. Hopefully we'll have some solid announcements to make soon."

Great Divide Brewing (Denver) - They're getting ready for their next Beer & Cheese event and they'd love to have you join them. It's on April 24th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and cost $24 per person. RSVP to info@greatdivide.com to participate.

Rockyard Brewing (Castle Rock) - Their big remodeling job is finally completed. They will be open at 4:00pm today. Stop in and check out their new look.

Best Breweries You Never Heard Of (Brewvana.net) - J. Wilson, current Wynkoop Brewery "2012 Beerdrinker of the Year" is running a series of 6-articles on the "Best Breweries You Never Heard Of". Today's article, 5th in the series, was written by Fermentedly Challenged and features Grimm Brothers Brewhouse of Loveland, CO. This brewery was chosen by our readers as the brewery they felt was worthy of the honor of Colorado's Best Brewery You Never Heard Of. Over 360 votes were submitted and Grimm Brothers edged out Crabtree Brewing and Aspen Brewing in a close race. Glenwood Canyon Brewpub (Glenwood Springs) - In the category of unusual pairings in a promo: "The Rocky Horror Show, $13 Tattoos, Scary movies and South Canyon Imperial Red as the Pint of the Week. What do all these have in common you say? They're all happening today, Friday the 13th! After your tattoo head on down to the GCBP, grab a bite and a brew and then, then get your tickets to The Rocky Horror Show! What a Day."

Bru (Boulder) - Here's an official statement from Bru: "We are proud to OFFICIALLY announce the release of TWO of our handbuilt ales this week. Obitus Brown handbuilt with dates and caramelized sugar is now available at Centro Latin Kitchen & Refreshment Palace AND limited quantities of Citrum IPA handbuilt with lemon zest and juniper berries available at The West End Tavern!" Twisted Pine Offbeat BrownTwisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - It may not be mid-April yet, but Twisted Pine is already getting ready to release their next beer in their Artisan Ale Series. May's selection is "Big Easy", an offbeat Brown ale. The cover art on the label is entitled "Red Hot Jazz" and was created by Perry Bergman. The release party is slated for Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at the brewery. Check out the artwork (click to enlarge).

Upslope Brewing Company (Boulder) - Announcing Upslope Brewing Company's newest can: Upslope Belgian Style Pale Ale!!! Six packs are available in the tap room and they just tapped the first keg of it. Come on down for the first taste!
