Colorado Beer NewsToday is National Blah Blah Blah Day. Don't believe me? Look it up! It's a day to get off your butt and start working on that list of projects and chores that you have that's been building up for a while. It's not going anywhere so you may as well face it and get something on that list done. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Tuesday, April 17th, 2012.

Brewers Association (Boulder) - The list of the Top 50 Craft Brewing Companies was released by the Brewers Association this week based on 2011 beer sales volume, and several Colorado breweries were on that list including: #3 New Belgium Brewing Company, #28 CraftWorks Breweries (Rock Bottom), #29 Oskar Blues Brewery, #30 Odell Brewing Company, #41 Breckenridge Brewery, and #49 Left Hand Brewing Company. Grats to all these breweries for making the list. The top two slots went to Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams), and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company.

Breckenridge Brewery (Denver) - The last of the new tanks have been put into place at the Breckenridge Brewery on Kalamath Street in Denver. They stretch so high that they nearly change the outline of the Denver skyline! Check out the new tank towers on their Facebook page.

Home Made Liquid & Solids (Longmont) - There's a new beer club at Oskar Blues HMLS in Longmont. It is called Funk n Wild and focuses on wild/sour/funky beer. The first meeting is this Saturday April 21st at 3:00pm in the upstairs of HMLS. They will be pouring beers from New Belgium, Crooked Stave, Funkwerks, Strange Brewing and more! The featured speaker in Eric Salazar from New Belgium! It's free for anyone who wants to come hang and hear and talk about these awesome styles of beer! There will also be special food pairings available. No tickets, no space limits, just buy what you drink and enjoy!

Coopersmiths Pub & Brewing (Fort Collins) - As they say - "It's that time of year" and so their Mountain Avenue Wheat is now back on tap for another season. They're serving it up for $2.00 a glass all day today. Plus their north patio is open.

Atom Brewing CompanyAtom Brewing Company (Erie) - Today they unveiled their finalized logo for their upcoming brewery in Erie. The design will use the full Atom Brewing Company words and will also appear just as Atom on various items.

Twisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - An interesting photo was put out on their Facebook today showing their staff preparing carrots in their brewhouse. The caption simply stated: "Carrots?! What!!! Stay tuned for more details..." - Could this mean the possibility of a carrot-infused beer? Or are they possibly doing something else? Guess we'll have to wait to find out.

Odell Brewing Company (Fort Collins) - More details of the upcoming Small Batch Festival are coming out. The festival will take place on Saturday, May 26th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the brewery. Join in for beer, music, food and fun. They'll have a WIDE selection of Odell beers. Beer tokens will be $4 each and good for one beer. Live local music by Musketeer Gripweed, Constitution, and Justin Roth will be provided. This is a popular event. Ride your bike over and try some awesome beers!

Ironworks Brewery & Pub (Lakewood) - Tonight at Ironworks - it's SIN night from 8pm til close. Come in for Buy One Get One Free on your first drink. It's also movie night as well. They'll be watching "Fargo". Ironworks is located at: 12354 W. Alameda Parkway in Lakewood. Opens at 3:00pm today.

Wynkoop Brewing (Denver) - On Thursday, April 19th at 6:30pm at the brewery, they're hosting a Tax-Relief Beer Dinner. Tickets are $45 per person and includes a 5-course meal and 2 beer pairings for each course. As Neo would say: "Whoa!". Contact banquets@wynkoop.com or call (303) 297-2999.

Copper Kettle Brewing (Denver) - Don't forget, Copper Kettle is hosting a 3-day One Year Anniversary Party starting this Thursday. Three days, three beer releases and three different bands. It's going to be fun. Check out all their events on Facebook.

Pug Ryan's Brewery (Dillon) - FREE BEER ALERT! Yup you heard right. Head to the Pug Ryan's website and print off their coupon for a free beer and head up to Dillon for a pint on them! What's the catch? Come hungry cuz you'll need to purchase any food item and present the coupon to get the free pint. Click for the coupon.
