Colorado wins big at 2012 World Beer Cup

2012 World Beer CupIt happens just once every two years. When judges and brewers gather in San Diego to select winners from 3921 beers in 95 categories from 799 breweries from 54 different countries and 45 US states, you know it's a big deal.

This year, Colorado-based breweries ended up winning approximately 27 medals including 13 Gold, 7 Silver and 7 Bronze in 24 different categories. A wonderful showing for the Centennial state.

Congrats to Rocky Mountain Brewery, Blue Moon Brewing, Bull & Bush, Crabtree Brewing, Odell Brewing, Crooked Stave, Rock Bottom Denver, The Sandlot, Dillon DAM Brewery, AC Golden Brewing, Steamworks Brewing, Rockyard Brewing Ska Brewing, Dry Dock Brewing, Odell Brewing, Oskar Blues, Telluride Brewing and Miller-Coors on their medals. Bull & Bush was the biggest craft beer winner in the state with 4 medals.
