Colorado Beer NewsToday is Juggling Day. Try your skill at keeping several objects in order while tossing them into the air. It's fun! Just be sure you don't try learning how to juggle in a china shop. With practice, you might just get good at it. If not, you can always celebrate your attempts with a nice craft beer afterwards. Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Wednesday, June 13th, 2012.

The organizers hope that they will be able to bring back the event next year in 2013. They apologize for having to call off this popular local event.

AB-INBEV Batch 540Anheuser-Busch In-Bev (Fort Collins) - It's rare that I put in a mention of the big macro brewery on the north side of Fort Collins, but apparently there was a new label released that bares the resemblance of an attempt to create a craft beer. This brew is named: "Brewmaster's Small Batch - Batch No. 0540". It's a 5.2% ABV Wheat Ale brewed with citrus peels and spice. Could this be their answer to Blue Moon? Gaze upon the label if you care, er dare. It joins other similar labels from their other breweries in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Fairfield, CA, Baldwinsville, NY and Williamsburg, VA - each with a different batch number.

Black Bottle Brewery (Fort Collins) - Brewery owner Sean Nook revealed that they just received their official brewers permit today from the TTB. Grats! Can you sense another brewery opening in the near future?

Upslope Brewing (Boulder) - New beers in their tap room! Tomorrow, Thursday, June 14th, Upslope will be releasing two new lagers, a Doppelbock and Maibock, in the tap room at 2:00pm! Some lucky folks might have had the chance to try their Doppelbock which saw a sneak peek in the tap room last month. The Doppelbock will be their Pro/Am entry in this year's Great American Beer Festival. They partnered up with homebrewer extraordinaire, Ed Moore, who won "Best of Show" at this year's Dredhop Homebrew Competition with this recipe. This brew is a malt lover's dream; dark, caramel, bready flavors with 9% ABV to back it up. THey'll stash a few kegs so they can watch this brew change with age. Their Maibock is another traditional German lager brewed for the tap room. This beer is paler in color but is still malt forward in flavor. More delicate and lighter than the Doppelbock but no less impressive.

Oskar Blues (Longmont) - In honor of Saturday's G'Knight Ride, Oskar Blues is tapping some Small-Batch Specialties from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Oskar Blues Canned Beer Revolution! They have one keg of rare REEB Rye'd Pale Ale going on the line up at 11 AM Saturday June 16th at their Home Make Liquids & Solids restaurant till it's dry!

Strange Brewing (Denver) - On tap for tonight: The return of One-Barrel Wednesdays. It's FINALLY ready beer Strangers! Mama Jo's Rhubarb Pie Ale. It put up a good fight. Eddyline Brewing (Buena Vista) - Ooooooh-La-La! Eddyline has gone French! They kept their South Main location's Brewer's License active (Yes, technically BV has 2 breweries) and to keep it active they made a very small batch of a French Saison finished with lavender and rosemary!
