Colorado Beer NewsToday is National Splurge Day. It is a day to indulge yourself. Go buy something extravagant. Eat or drink something you normally wouldn't. Try a completely different style of craft beer you've never tasted before. Go for it! Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Monday, June 18th, 2012.

Breckenridge Brewery (Denver) - It's their 22nd Anniversary and you're invited to celebrate. On Saturday, July 7th from 11am to 6pm, your $22 ticket will get you unlimited beer and a pig roast. Listen in to live music for 7 solid hours from a handful of awesome bands. Beers from both Breckenridge and Renegade Brewing. Stop in and see the Colorado Craft Beer Show do a live radio remote from 12pm to 2pm. Don't miss this party! Tix available at

American Craft Beer Radio (102.3 FM Denver) - Come out and see their radio show live this Saturday at Dylan's Bar Grill and Taphouse for their first anniversary. There will be a free pig roast, lots of giveaways and $3.00 pints all day! They're also going to tap a special "Peanut Butter Cup" firkin at 1:00pm. Don't miss this one. Dylan's is located at 2627 S. Parker Rd in Aurora.

Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) - Over the weekend, Crabtree Brewing released their limited edition of their Ménage à Trois, a twice-award winning braggot made with blends of three different barrel-aged beers. Their Beer Club members got first shot at buying up these special 12oz bottles. If you hurry, there may just be some left at the tasting room today. Fourteeners PintPateros Creek Brewing (Fort Collins) - Have you heard about their special "Fourteener Series" of beer releases? At special locations they are coming up with 14 different limited edition India Pale Ales. Last week it was the Mt. Oxford, an English IPA. What'll it be this week? River North Brewery (Denver) - Starting this week, River North Brewery will release 5-gallons of an ultra-rare, experimental concoction each Wednesday at 3pm! Their tap schedule for the next 3 weeks are as follows: June 20th - Whiskey-aged Quandary Quadrupel, June 27th - Chardonnay-aged J. Marie Saison, July 4th - no barrel release, but having a discount on all growlers and bomers to go. They will be open early and close by 3pm on July 4th.

Bootstrap Brewing Company (Niwot) - It's the final countdown and it's just two days away! Bootstrap Brewing is scheduled for it's Grand Opening this Wednesday, June 20th at 3pm just in time for the Summer Solstice. Bootstrap Brewing is Niwot’s first and only brewery and produces fresh, delicious handcrafted beers. Stop by their tasting room and enjoy a flight of tasters. Have a pint and purchase a growler of your favorite style to take home. Bootstrap is located at 6778 North 79th Street in Niwot. Stop in and say hi to owners Leslie and Steve Kaczeus. They plan on offering up a light lager, a chili beer, an India Pale Ale, a Brown Ale, an Amber, a Rye and a stout (maybe not all available on opening day). The Oskar Blues Bonewagon will be outside offering up tasty food to go with your beer at 4pm.

Funkwerks (Fort Collins) - Funkwerks beers will be highlighted at a beer dinner at Tag Restaurant in Denver tomorrow, June 19th at 7:00pm. This will be a 5 course meal carefully prepared and paired with a special Funkwerks beer. The cost is $58 per person++. For reservations and more info call: (303) 996-9985. Post-Father's Day - Hey Dads - didn't get what you wanted for Father's Day? No worries. Stop by your favorite local craft brewery and pick yourself up a growler to go. It's the best present you'll give yourself this week. Besides, you'll need it to stay cool in this near 100 degree heat here in Colorado today.

Colorado Brewers' Festival (Fort Collins) - Got your tickets yet? Better hurry, it's coming up this weekend - June 23-24th in Civic Center Park in Fort Collins (Laporte Ave and Howes Street). Over 30 different Colorado brewers, lots of great live music and a lot of food booths to boot. Tickets cost $20 online or $25 at the gate which included 10 tasting tickets (4oz pours) in a festival tasting mug. More details at: Don't forget your sunblock!

Avery Brewing (Boulder) - This Sunday, June 24th at 4pm, #12 in the Barrel-Aged Series will be unveiled - Oud Floris! To celebrate the release of this Flanders-esque barrel-aged sour brown ale, the Avery Tap Room will pour a beautiful line-up of some super special draft creations including: Bad Apple, Grapes of Wrath, Ross's Mom, Wiskey Sour Reverend, and Tweak (formerly Meph Addict). Don't miss this great line-up.

Renegade Brewing (Denver) - Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 30th from noon to 10pm. Renegade Brewing will be hosting a 1st anniversary party. Look for the debut of their "Banana Split", an imperial chocolate hefeweizen made with cocao nibs. Also look for some of their beer to debut in cans on the 30th as well, courtesy of their partnership with Mobile Canning LLC. Live bands, a photo booth, door prizes, cupcakes and more!

New Belgium (Fort Collins) - Members from Alpine Beer Company are visiting New Belgium today and are busy working on a collaboration beer. The results of this effort will be a new Lips of Faith beer called Super IPA. Stay tuned for this. In other news, New Belgium is planning to open a new bar in Snowmass called the New Belgium Ranger Station. Eddyline Brewing Company (Buena Vista) - Recently Eddyline moved in a new 20 barrel tank and greatly increase their brewing capacity. They now have 2480 gallons of fermenter space. Does that make you even thirstier? Cheers to more beer!

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - Coming up this Wednesday, June 20th, Grimm Brothers will be doing a fundraiser for fire relief efforts for the High Park Fire. For every pint sold that day, $1 will be donated to the High Park Fire relief effort. And Mueller and Associates of Loveland will match every dollar donated as well! Then coming up on July 4th - it's the Loveland Liberty 5K and IPA. Grimm Brothers will release their Water of Life IPA. This will be a fundraiser and 5K Run / Walk. This will start out of the parking lot at Grimm Brothers. The run/walk starts at 8am and will run until 4pm. More info on this race can be found here.
