Here's what's happening around the Colorado beerosphere today Friday, June 29th, 2012.

Come check it out and wish them a happy anniversary. Located at: 925 W. 9th Avenue in Denver, CO.

TRVE Brewing Company (Denver) - Their Grand Opening on Wednesday turned out to be a great success, so great in fact that they had to temporarily halt growler fills until further notice so that they can catch up on beer production. They debuted with 3 beers: Wanderlust (Belgo-American Pale Ale), Black Cascade (India Black Ale), and their Prehistoric Dog (Salted Wheat Beer). If you missed their opening, stop on down to 227 Broadway #101 in Denver, Colorado, between 2nd and 3rd Avenue.

Grimm Brothers Water of Life IPAGrimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - Yesterday, samples of their upcoming "Water of Life IPA" were given out to select customers as a preview of the beer to be released on July 4th as part of their Loveland Liberty 5K Run and Walk celebration. The foot race will start and end at the brewery in Loveland and Grimm Brothers will be donating part of the proceeds from their 10 barrel batch of IPA to help support "Life for the Innocent", a charity that rescues children in India from the sex trade and places them in foster families. This is their first IPA, and I can tell you it's hoppier than anything they've put out so far. The IPA was made with Magnum, Hallertau, Cascade and Amarillo hops. Starts out bitter, but goes down easy. This is a once a year type of batch so get some starting on July 4th and enjoy while it lasts.

Ale House Brew Fest (Grand Junction) - For those of you on the Western Slope, there'll be a mini beer fest going on at The Ale House in Grand Junction tomorrow, Saturday, June 30th from 5pm to 10pm. It's their annual showcase of Belgian-style beers from Colorado, the US and Belgium.

Steamworks Brewing (Durango) - The brewers at Steamworks are planning a "lusty" brew for their July's Firkin Friday, a shandy-style beer named the Randy Firkin. This cask will be tapped on Friday, July 6th at 3:00pm. A shandy is beer mixed with citrus-flavored soda, carbonated lemonade, ginger beer or ale or cider. This beer combines their lemonade with their Hefeweizen. Stop in if you're in the Durango area and try some. It'll help beat the heat.

High Hops Farm & Brew Shop (Windsor) is having their 12th annual open house today and tomorrow, June 29 & 30. This means 20% off the entire brewshop and 20-75% off storewide (some exclusions).
