AC Golden Brewing Donates to Fire Relief

AC Golden gives to Mile High Red CrossGolden, Colo. -- As recent wildfires raged throughout Colorado, Colorado Native Lager, brewed by AC Golden Brewing, stepped in to help those affected. In an effort show support for those fighting the fire, and friends, families and communities impacted, Colorado Native posted a fire-related photo on its Facebook page and donated $1 for every 'like' that the picture received, up to $10,000. The money was donated to the Mile High chapter of the American Red Cross to assist communities impacted by fires around the state.

Within 24 hours of being posted, the picture had drawn more than 10,000 ‘likes’ and more than 800 shares. Attached is a photo of the Colorado Native brewers presenting the money to the Red Cross (From left: brewers Troy Casey, Jason zumBrunnen, Steve Fletcher, Jeff Cornell, Kent Reichow).

"As the only Colorado beer brewed with 100 percent Colorado ingredients, we feel a deep commitment to support Colorado and its communities," said Glenn Knippenberg, president of AC Golden Brewing Company. "We donate 25 cents from every case of Colorado Native to charities within the state that are voted on by our drinkers."

AC Golden is contracted as an incubator brewery to develop new brands for MillerCoors. In addition to amber lager Colorado Native, AC Golden brews: Herman Joseph's Private Reserve, a German-style lager; Winterfest, a Vienna-style lager; Barmen, a pilsner; and various sours and specialty beers.
