Aspen Brewing Company (Aspen) - Hooray for beer! Up near Aspen today? Come on by for a pint of this week’s specialty brew – Spiced Blonde! Delicious and refreshing on a summer afternoon in Aspen. Ride a bike and join the Tuesday Cruise-day bike ride around Aspen!

Verboten Brewing (Loveland) - In an article posted today on the Coloradoan, David Young reports that Verboten Brewing plans to make some different kinds of beer that are made with "forbidden" ingredients, that is if you plan on following the old German purity law. Josh Grenz and Joe Akers plan to use ingredients such as strawberries, rhubarb, lemongrass, caramel and even a barrel or two from Dancing Pines Distillery with their beers. Look for an industrial farmhouse theme for the brewery when they open late this year. See the article for the full story.

Odd13 Brewing (Lafayette) - Word on the street from a building leaser tells Fermentedly Challenged that a new brewery is in the works for Lafayette, Colorado. Odd13 Brewing is planning to open up at 301 East Simpson Street in Lafayette, Colorado sometime in mid-2013. It will be a brewpub complete with a food menu including: fish and chips, burgers, wings, salads, and steak specials on the weekends. The brewpub also has plans for a beer garden and a 7 barrel brewing system.

Crystal Springs Brewing (Boulder) - Tom Horst and company just received formula approval for DRUM, their porter aged in dark rum barrels. DRUM needs a little more time in the barrels, so look for it this fall. Also, they began filling their bourbon barrels with stout last week. They expect it will be ready by the holidays.

Left Hand Brewing (Longmont) - Plans are officially under way for their new Bottling Hall at the brewery. Stay tuned for details on when this new facility will be in operation.

TRVE Brewing Company (Denver) - Sometimes too much of a good thing can be a problem. The patronage at TRVE Brewing has been so great in the month that they've been open for business that they are constantly running low on beer! Because of that, they will have to remain closed on Sundays until their production can catch up with demand and growler fills have been on hold for the time being. Their taproom will be open Wednesday through Saturday until further notice. Look for their Autumn beer menu to start showing up in the weeks to come.

Trinity TPS ReportTrinity Brewing (Colorado Springs) - TPS Report Vintage 2010 Bottle Release is this Friday, July 27th at 5pm! This Experimental Flanders Sour Ale won a GABF GOLD MEDAL in 2009. If you love the funky side of Belgium then you will love TPS Report. The grain bill for this beer includes flaked oats and flaked wheat, and the recipe is flavored with tangerine and lemon zests. Fermented 100% with a very rare variety of the wild yeast and bacteria (Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus) this beer is the funky funky farmhouse, wet wool, and heavy leather that you’ve all grown to love. Bottled once a year, Vintage 2012 is the first version of TPS done 100% on French Chardonnay Barrels then triple fermented for authenticity. 4.8% ABV; extremely rare.
