Butcherknife Brewing Company (Steamboat Springs) is pleased to announce that they will be participating in this year's Steamboat OktoberWest festival again. Look for their new prototype tap handles and try some of their old favorite beers as well as new ones this year. OktoberWest falls on September 21st through the 23rd in Steamboat Springs, CO.

Avery Brewing Company (Boulder) - Tickets went on sale today at 9:00am for the Inaugural Boulder IPA Fest slated for September 8th, 2012 from 12pm to 5pm and will sell out quickly like Sour Fest did. Tickets are $35 (plus fees). This fest is a hop head's dream. To get tickets go to Avery Brewing or get them online at TicketAlternative.

Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) - Looking to get your fix of Arvada brew? You can find them up at the Great Central City Beer Festival up in Gilpin Country and at the Stapleton Beer Festival outside of Denver this weekend. Or better yet, head to the brewery where Guerilla Grill will be serving food from 4:30pm to 9:30pm.

Tommyknocker Brewery (Idaho Springs) - On Sunday, August 26th at 8pm tune your TV to the Travel Channel and watch a show featuring Tommyknocker Brewery. If you watch the show up at the brewery you'll enjoy 1/2 priced appetizers from 7pm - 10pm. Located at 1401 Miner Street in Idaho Springs, CO.

New Beer Labels - Fresh off the TTB approval list. Look for these coming soon from Tommyknocker Brewery, Oskar Blues, and Elevation Beer Company.

Great American Beer Festival (Denver) - Here are some additional fun facts that Jonathan Shikes at Westword came up with for this year's GABF. There will be 114 more breweries at this year's festival than last year. The total number will be at 580 breweries and around 2700 different beers available for sampling. More room was made by getting rid of the presentation stage and moving the awards ceremony to another location in Denver. More beer to enjoy - but don't even try to sample them all - you'll fail.

Ska Brewing (Durango) - Watch the start of the Pro Cycling Challenge with Ska at their Race Start Breakfast Party, Monday August 20th at 8am. Get prime balcony viewing of the start on Main Avenue. $10 ticket includes a Breakfast Burrito and a Beer. Tickets available at The Balcony and Ska Brewing. Spectate like a Pro!

Pateros Creek Brewing Company (Fort Collins) - Just 7 days left to raise funds for their Awesomeification project. PCBC is trying to raise $22,000 to help expand their tap room space. They've set up a site on Check it out and help out if you can.

Crazy Mountain Brewery (Edwards) - This is the last day to get pre-sale $35 tickets for Ed Fest this weekend. Get tix at or at their tasting room. All you can drink beer at Ed Fest. Sure to be a great time - live music, great food, beer and fun!

Great Divide Brewing Company (Denver) - What could be better on a Friday than a Gnefarious Gnome? What's that you say? It's the latest special firkin tapping today at Great Divide in LoDo. Gnefarious Gnome is a dark mild ale. They open at 2pm today and it's only on tap in their tap room. Get some!

2012 Northern Colorado Brewer's Olympics2012 Northern Colorado Brewer's Olympics (Fort Collins) - On Friday, August 24th starting at 4pm Northern's Colorado Craft Beer Industry Leaders will compete at The Fort Collins Brewery against each other in a friendly battle of strength, wits, and agility. Thus crowning a GOLD medalist and WINNER to have bragging rights for an entire year! The participating breweries include: The Fort Collins Brewery, Odell Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, FUNKWERKS, Pateros Creek, CB & Potts, Big Beaver Brewing, Grimm Brothers and 2 others (TBD). This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and will really show off the Camaraderie and Collaboration of some of the best breweries in Northern Colorado. Proceeds will benefit "A Puppy's Voice"- A Puppy's Voice is non-profit organization which rescues homeless and abandoned dogs and puppies from high kill shelters.

Dad & Dude's Breweria (Aurora) - Have you been following the "sister project" from Dad & Dude's Breweria? Dude's Beer is a distribution operation that will take some of the best beers from Dad & Dude's Breweria and market it around in Colorado. Their first such beer is Dank IPA. The beer was actually brewed and canned for Dad & Dudes at Prost Brewing in Denver. The following video tells a little bit about it. Dank - it's slang for really potent or really good. Hops & Pie Littlest Big Beer FestHops & Pie (Denver) - Come join in this Saturday the 18th for the next installment of Denver's Littlest Big Beer Fest - this month featuring Elevation Brewing Company! Turk & Gubna from the Colorado Craft Beer Show will also be here broadcasting live on sight, don't miss the fun! Sample some Apis IV Quadrupel, Cabernet Barrel Aged Apis IV, Signal De Botrange (aged), Signal De Botrange (unaged), and Mount Blanca (Belgian Saison). Plus, there will be a firkin of Double Dry Hopped First Cast IPA. Available in flights & single pours.

Oktoberfest in Colorado (Annual List) - The harvests are coming in, the weather is starting to cool, and towns and communities in Colorado are planning their Oktoberfests! The first celebration has already been set for August 25th and the 2012 Colorado Oktoberfest page has compiled a list of over 30 communities in the Centennial state that have Oktoberfest or harvest festivals planned. Check it out and visit one of more of these activites. Festivals run from late August through early October.
