Dry Dock Brewing Company (Aurora) - This popular brewery in Aurora brought home some bling from the Colorado State Fair this weekend. They won 4 medals including: Gold for Hefeweizen, Silver for Apricot Blonde, and Bronze for both the Irish Red and the HMS Victory Amber! Grats to Dry Dock!

Rock Bottom (Colorado Springs) - More results from the Colorado State Fair. Rock Bottom took home 3 medals in the Craft Beer Competition. Bronze for both their Rail Slide and Warning Sign Strikes Back, and a gold for their Fire Chief. Congrats!

Echo Brewing Company (Frederick) - The Colorado State Fair medal winners keep rolling in. Echo Brewing won Gold for their Munich Helles and a Silver for their Irish Red. Not bad for their first couple of months of operation. Echo Brewing has also built a nice deck for all their customers to enjoy. Stop by and try a brew and take it outside to soak up some sun.

CAUTION Brewing Company (Denver) - The crew at CAUTION took home the bronze in the Specialty Category for their Lao Wang Lager at the Colorado State Fair. Grats!

Great Storm Brewing (Colorado Springs) - Come join in on Saturday, September 22nd, to celebrate the first day of Oktoberfest at Great Storm Brewing. They'll have live music by local bluesman BJ Estares from 6-9 pm, and starting at 11 am they'll be offering new beers: Our fall seasonal, Red Oktober, a mashup between traditional German and Irish styles, with a Russian name; Lightningstorm Wheat Wine, a very high gravity beer made from mainly white wheat with a citrusy punch from Citra hops, Ralphie's Red Rye, a fall ale with a crisp rye and caraway zing to chase of creeping marauders; and some other surprises. See you there!

Strange Brewing Company (Denver) - Two medals were earned at the Colorado State Fair from Strange Brewing including a Silver in the Herb & Spice beer category for their Z.O.R.A Rosemary Pale, and a Gold once again for their Cherry Kriek. Cheers!

Funkwerks (Fort Collins) - It must be September... Next weekend will be the last weekend the Funkwerks taproom stays open til 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. After Labor Day we will be changing our hours to the following: Sunday-Thursday: 12pm-8pm; Friday-Saturday: 12pm-9pm; Again, this change will begin the weekend after Labor Day, September 8th and September 9th.

Bootstrap Brewing (Niwot) - They may have only been opened for a very short time, but already Bootstrap Brewing is starting to win awards. During the Colorado State Fair Foam Fest, Bootstrap took Gold in the Light Hybrid category for their 1956 Golden Ale. Grats on this award!

Crabtree Brewing (Greeley) - After they started winning medals a couple years ago, the medals just keep pouring in for Crabtree Brewing. During Foam Fest at the Colorado State Fair, Crabtree Brewing took home 3 medals: a Bronze for their Menage a Trois (braggot), a Bronze for their Oatmeal Stout, and a Silver for their Berliner Weisse. All three of these beers had previously earned awards in other competitions and re-enforces their brand as being among the very best. Grats.

Great American Beer Festival (Denver) - In order to clear space for 110 additional breweries in the festival this year, the awards ceremony will be held in the Wells Fargeo Theatre on the 1st floor of the Colorado Convention Center at 10:30am. This two hour ceremony will NOT be open to festival goers, but rather the brewers, judges, media, sponsors and festival staff only. This will allow attendees more time to sample the award winners during the Saturday afternoon members-only tasting session. The ceremony will be streamed live on The Brewing Network.
