Upslope Brewing Company (Boulder) - Upslope will be tapping their gold medal winning Pumpkin Ale in the Tap Room today at 2pm AND will be packing this season's Limited Release in 16 oz. tall boys! Not only will you be able to have a fresh pint on draft but will also be able to bring home the first ever run of our Pumpkin Ale in cans (before it hits the shelves). Upslope Brewing Co.'s Pumpkin Ale was awarded Gold Medal in last year's Great American Beer Festival in the Field and Pumpkin beer category. They use locally grown Munson Farms Baby Bear Pumpkins and an array of spices from Savory Spice. Folks who purchase a pint will also received a coupon good for a free Baby Bear Pumpkin from Munson Farms. In other news, Upslope will now be open seven days a week and are extending their hours on Sundays! The new tap room hours (starting this Sunday) are Sunday-Thursday 2-9pm, Friday & Saturday 2-10pm.

Twisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - Join Twisted Pine on Friday, September 14th at 4pm for the Reilly's Oak Whiskey Red release party! This beer is Scottish-style ale aged for fourteen months in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. The permutation that occurs inside the Buffalo Trace barrels along with the unique piquancy of the Kentucky Bourbon allow for distinguished and distinctive flavors of oak, caramel and subtle vanilla. Reilly’s is a GABF Gold Medal winning beer with a nose strong in bourbon followed by hints of delicate toffee, finishing clean and warm. This medium bodied ale has a lovely pale ruby color and creamy, off-white head. Reilly's Oak Whiskey Red will be available at the brewery and throughout Twisted Pine's distribution areas for a limited time.

American Homebrewers Association (Longmont) - Coming up on Saturday, September 22nd from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Oskar Blues Tasty Weasel in Longmont, the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) will be having an AHA Membership Rally. These rallies are FREE to current AHA Members. Non-members can sign up for membership at a discounted rate at the door. Entrance includes: Meet Oskar Blues and AHA staff, Take a VIP brewery tour, Special firkin release, Opportunity to mingle with lots of other homebrewers, and a Chance to win great prizes from the AHA and Oskar Blues. The Tasty Weasel is located at: 1800 Pike Road, Unit B in Longmont, CO.

Big Beaver Brewing (Loveland) - Kegs are now available at the Beaver! They are making your dreams come true: finally you can purchase Big Beaver Beer packaged in shiny new 1/6 BBL (5.16 gallon kegs) direct at the taproom. They will fill your little kegs as well 1/6 bbl (5.16 gallon kegs); it must be a sankey keg. Big Beaver can also fill corny kegs but you must carbonate the beer yourself. West Flanders Brewery (Boulder) - The local governing agencies just approved West Flanders for brewing beer and now the fermentation at their brewery can begin. Look for their opening day coming your way in the very near future. How's September 24th sound? That's the day they are shooting for. They will be located at 1125 Pearl Street in Boulder, CO.

Crystal Springs Brewing (Boulder) - Come to a beer and food pairing hosted by Crystal Springs Brewing and Cured Boulder on Sunday, September 16th, 2012 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Cured. River North Brewery (Denver) - Their Wayward Wednesday batch this week is Batch 2 of their Barrel Series No. 1, J. Marie Saison aged in whiskey. Also their RN^4 Belgian-style Quadrupel is debuting this week in draft only. And also, they're announcing the return of Unified Theory, oaked imperial wit in bombers today, September 6th at 3pm. A draft release will follow later in the week. Come try some fresh River North brew this week.

Fight Fire with Beer Festival (Boulder) - Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 15th as Fightfighter Appreciation Week caps off with a big beer festival on Boulder's 29th Street Mall from noon to 10pm. This family friendly festival will include local food, live music and plenty of Colorado micro brews. Meet and interact with firefighters and their equipment. Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) - Tickets are going fast for their GABF release party. The celebration is limited to 100 people. There will be meats and cheeses from Woodburn's Market & Deli, and tasters of all 9 of their beers that were entered in the GABF, plus a pint of your favorite beer, all for $20. City Star Brewing (Berthoud) - Thursdays just got better. Starting today City Star is introducing Thirsty Thursdays. You get Happy Hour prices all day long ($1 off full beers). Listen to Franklin Taggart play some live music starting at 5:30pm and fill up on grub from the Giggling Greek food truck after 6pm. Also, for the first time, a City Star Brew will be found outside the tasting room. Look for their Red Necktar to be tapped at The Fork in Lyons, CO starting at 4pm this Sunday.

Oktoberfest in Colorado (Annual List) - The harvests are coming in, the weather is starting to cool, and towns and communities in Colorado are planning their Oktoberfests! The first celebrations have already begun and the 2012 Colorado Oktoberfest page has compiled a list of over 30 communities in the Centennial state that have Oktoberfest or harvest festivals planned. Check it out and visit one of more of these activites. Festivals run from late August through early October.

The Fort Collins Brewery (Ft. Collins) - It's release time! Tomorrow, September 7th at the brewery and Gravity Ten Twenty - FCB will release their annual Doppelbock. It's their most legendary beer brewed in the early Spring and tucked away to lager in their cellar for six months. The result is a smooth, full bodied Doppel Bock. This brew even has imported smoked malts added as a bonus. Prost!
