All Colorado Beer Festival (Colorado Springs) - With Fall quickly approaching, the organizers of the annual All Colorado Beer Festival (ACBF) are meeting to set plans for this year's event - scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd, 2012. This will be the 6th annual festival and will be held at The Colorado Springs Expo Center in Colorado Springs, CO. For more information and volunteer opportunities visit:

Lone Tree Brewing Company (Lone Tree) - Mother nature is giving us a glimpse of Fall with the cool, wet weather today! They can't think of a more perfect day to roll out their newest creation, Pumpkin Harvest Ale! Come join them today for a pint, they'll tap it at noon!

Revolution Brewing (Paonia) - Revolution Brewing, Delta County's only brewery, won two first-place awards for their beer at Crested Butte's 2012 Chili and Beer Festival, competing against 14 other Colorado and national breweries last weekend. The brewery won first place for its Felonious Monk IPA (named Junga Boogie at the festival) in the Pale Ale category. The IPA was made from hops grown at four Western Slope hop farms. Two of the farms, Rising Sun Farms and West Elk Hop Farm, are located within a few miles of the brewery. Revolution's Stout Ol' Friend also won a first place in the Stout-Porter-Dark category. This is the second time the Stout Ol' Friend has won at Crested Butte's annual chili and beer festival. Revolution Brewing's brewery and tasting room are located on Grand Avenue in Paonia, Colo. Denver Beer Company (Denver) - According to an article on Westword from Jonathan Shikes, Denver Beer Company is planning a major expansion and a second tasting room. There is a 1700 sq. ft. space directly adjacent to their brewery that will house new fermenters and a 2nd smaller tasting room for special events. This new space will be ready by December 2012. This new space will also house their new barrel room.

Pucker Up Poker RunPucker Up Poker Run (Denver) - Another great GABF week event! On Friday, October 12th, join in the Avery & Denver Off The Wagon sponsored Pucker Up Poker Run. 5 stops in the downtown Denver area. At each stop you'll get a 4oz pour of a rare, barrel-aged sour beer, a 6oz pour of a palate cleansing beer and a playing card. The best poker hand wins a prize! The action starts at 11am at the Falling Rock Tap House and you'll split up into groups. You'll visit Lucky Pie Pizza, Highland Tap & Burger, Euclid Hall and finish at the Star Bar. Dress up in your wildest outfit and bike it or walk it, but don't drink and drive. Tickets are $45 and available at TicketAlternative.

Gravity Brewing (Louisville) - Now that their Grand Opening is past them, they've posted their new regular hours. Monday & Tuesday - Closed. Wednesday & Thursday - 4pm to 9pm. Friday - 3pm to 10pm. Saturday - 2pm to 10pm. Sunday - 3pm to 8pm. They now have 5 beers on tap including: Coolship (Belgian Wit), Accretion (Belgian Abbey/Dubbel), Mendacious (Belgian Blonde), Acceleration (Double IPA) and Tsar Bomba (Russian Imperial Stout). They will soon have a standard IPA on tap in a few weeks. Located at: 1150 Pine Street, Unit B in Louisville, CO.

Beers Brats and BurlesqueBeers, Brats, & Burlesque (Denver) - Avery Brewing is teaming up with Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret the night before GABF for an evening of Beers, Brats & Burlesque on October 10th at 7pm. For $35, get 9 beers, all you can eat brats, and watch nine burlesque dancers. Avery Brewing will guide you through a selection of delicious brews as the Clocktower Clockettes delight and amuse you with fun, flirty burlesque dancing and off-the-cuff comedy. Lannie's is on the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver just a few blocks from the GABF.

Hops & Pie (Denver) - This next month will be full of events that you will want to pay attention to. First up, on Saturday, September 29th it's a day of Avery Beer Awesomeness from noon to close. 14 different and special brews on tap and from bottles. 2nd, On October 5th at 6pm, stop by for a special Firkin 1st Friday tapping of a Whiskey Oaked Wee Heavy Strong Scotch Ale (9.5% ABV). 3rd, On Sunday October 7th at 2pm, it's Great Divide's turn at the Littlest Big Beer Fest. Get flights and single pours of some vintage and rare pours. Finally, On Friday October 12th, during GABF, Sun King Brewery from Indy gets the royal treatment. They've brought 6 special treats for you to sample including Osiris Pale Ale, The Velvet Fog (quad), Cream Dream V (Imperial IPA), Barrel Aged Oktoberfest, Grapefruit Jungle (IPA) and Sunlight Cream Ale. An event for every craft beer lovers taste. If you can't wait for these events, stop in this Friday for a keg of Upslope's Pumpkin Ale.

The Mayor of Old Town (Fort Collins) - Their collaboration beer with Funkwerks will be coming out soon - It's a Belgian style double that will be called "The Son of Nothing". The Mayor will be aging some of it for a year and releasing that beer next fall as "The Return of The Son of Nothing". Most people don't know that both of these names were working titles for the Pink Floyd song Echoes. Next year, The Mayor will also release the third version of this beer that has been soured and aged in wine barrels. That beer will be called "Echoes" - an echo of the original if you will.

Palisade Brewing Company (Palisade) - Announcing the start of Keep It Real Thursday. They will be tapping their first firkin tomorrow Thursday at 4:20 sharp. Just keeping it real. Their first experiment will be Dirty Hippie with fresh blackberries. Stop in for a taste.

Big Beaver Brewing (Loveland) - The Broncos vs. Falcons game will be aired at the brewery Sept. 17th at 6:30pm. Come down for a Hoppy Meal: a delicious beer bratwurst and your favorite Big Beaver beer for $7! Also, 1/2 price pitchers and an opportunity to win a prize in a free drawing makes the Beaver the place to watch the game!

Greenhorn Brewing Company (Colorado Springs) - According to a news article from the Colorado Springs Independent, a new brewery is in the works in Colorado Springs. The location will be at: 505 N. Union Boulevard. Owners Matthew and Kim Green will open a small 250 square foot tasting room. Look for beers such as a Raspberry Cream Stout, IPAs and pale ales, and Bavarian-style wheat beers. Greenhorn Brewing is targeted for a December 2012 opening pending final paperwork.

Cultivate Festival (Denver) - Coming up on Saturday, October 6th, it's Denver’s first-ever Cultivate Festival will bring together food, farmers, chefs, artisans, and musicians in City Park for a free day bringing awareness about food’s impact on society. The FREE festival, created by locally-grown Chipotle Mexican Grill, is intended to get people thinking about and talking about food and food-related issues. Attendees can sample some of the best microbrews and wines from Colorado producers. The lineup beats what you’d find at most brew fests; think: Del Norte, Boulder Beer Company, Great Divide, Avery, Oskar Blues, Odell, Breckenridge Brewing, Left Hand, New Belgium, Ska Brewing, Infinite Monkey Theorem, SHFT House Wine, Church Key Can Company and Colorado Cider Company—all in the Brewer’s Hall. All proceeds from beer and wine sales will be donated to Food Family Farmers Foundation, which features Chef Ann Cooper’s The Lunch Box program. The Lunch Box helps transition school lunchrooms from processed foods to made-from-scratch meals. Stay tuned for more details.

Oktoberfest in Colorado (Annual List) - The harvests are coming in, the weather is starting to cool, and towns and communities in Colorado are planning their Oktoberfests! The first celebrations have already begun and the 2012 Colorado Oktoberfest page has compiled a list of over 30 communities in the Centennial state that have Oktoberfest or harvest festivals planned. Check it out and visit one of more of these activites. Festivals run from late August through early October.
