Twisted Pine Brewing Co (Boulder) - It's the first week of the month and it's time for another in their series of Artisan Ale releases. This month, Twisted Pine is releasing "Lupuliopheliac" - an uber-fresh hopped ale and the 10th installment in the series. Lead brewer Henry Jager was given free reign to get reckless with hop additions. Expect it to be hoppy! Look for this beer to be released on October 6th at Twisted Pine.

Upslope Brewing Co (Boulder) - The brewery is hosting a benefit party for the local non-profit "There With Care" on Sunday, October 7th. There will be a performance by Zach Heckendorf lie in the brewery at 6:00pm. Prizes for the raffle will include a ticket to the Thursday GABF session, a private tour with Upslope's founder and a bar tab for 15 of your friends, t-shirts and more with 100% of the proceeds going to There With Care. They are selling raffle tickets in the taproom all week long.

Librations Wine & Spirits (Foxfield, CO) - Come to an Oktoberfest Benefit Tasting on Saturday, October 6th from 11am to 5pm at Libations Wine & Spirits. There will be wine and beer tasting from local breweries and distilleries, including Oskar Blues, Dry Dock, Leopold Brothers Distillery and many wines from all over the world. The event includes food from local restaurants, live music and a live remote of the American Craft Beer Radio show on ESPN radio 102.3FM. Tickets are $20 each thru today and thereafter $25 at the door. Event benefits "Boys Hope Girls Hope". Located at 16350 East Arapahoe Road in Foxfield, CO (Southeast metro Denver). Visit

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - Announcing the new "Wear It Wednesdays" at Grimm Brothers! War a shirt or a hat from a craft brewery (theirs or someone elses) to the Tap Room on Wednesdays and get a buck off pints. Can't get any easier than that! If you don't have a brewery shirt or hat they have some for sale too.

The West End Tavern (Boulder) - Come in for a big night! Politics downstairs and Warren Miller Ski movies upstairs! Plus, they'll be tapping Avery Brewing Company's Ale to the Chief during the debate! (Sound will be on downstairs!) - West End Tavern is located at 926 Pearl Street in Boulder, CO.

Oskar Blues (Lyons) - Had enough Oktoberfest yet? No? Well there's one more event going on this weekend up at Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons,CO. It's their annual Osktoberfest on Sunday, October 7th from 3pm to 9pm. There'll be plenty of beer from Oskar Blues, Bootstrap Brewery and City Star Brewery as well as tons of German food, a balloon maker and a bouncy castle for the kids, and live Polka music. They'll be hosting an Oskar Blues Oktoberfest beer release there too. Costume Contest - winner gets free beer for a year! Yodeling contest winner gets a limited edition Oskar Blues Stein! Last chance to make Oktoberfest last until next year. (Unless you count GABF of course).

Falling Rock Tap House (Denver) - Time for the 2nd annual CHEERS! (Colorado Hoppy Exotic Esoteric & Really Special) - a tasting with Dogfish Head Brewing at Falling Rock on Friday night, October 12th at 10pm (just after GABF). Taste some super rare beers from Boulder Beer, Elevation Brewing, Trinity Brewing, Ska Brewing, Rockyard Brewing, West Flanders Brewery, Dogfish Head and more. Tickets are $40 or $30 for SOCIAL members. Tickets at the door day of. Wear your SOCIAL t-shirt or bring your card to get your discount. The tasting lasts until all the special beers are gone.

Bristol Brewing (Colorado Springs) - There will be a pre-sales event for bottles of their Venetucci Pumpkin Ale on Monday, October 8th starting at 12 noon. This is for those who don't like to stand in line the night of the main release. Although be forewarned, last year there was a line at the pre-sale too. Get in line by noon at the brewery tasting room at 1647 S. Tejon in the Springs. 4-bottle limit per person. Each bottle is $5.99 each plus tax. This is for pre-orders only - pick-up dates are October 26 - November 30th.
