While beer drinkers may not preserve all of their brain cells while drinking beer, it's a good day to remember to keep your brain fit by exercising it regularly. Fermentedly Challenged (Blog) - It was 5 years ago this week (October 9, 2007) that Fermentedly Challenged first hit the Internet. Greeley Zombie Pub Crawl 2012 (Greeley) - On Friday, October 26th starting at 6:00pm - It's a ZOMBIE Friday Fest Go-Cup night! Star in a mini Zombie Movie! Amateur film crews will be on hand at 6PM to gather actors. Bring your bike and ride on the Zombie Zoom around Lincoln Park. Check out the Red Bull DJ Truck. Participate in a mass Zombie Dance on the 9th St Plaza. Colorado Dance Collective will perform the "Thriller" Dance. Bar Specials, Costume Contests and More! Celebrate the last Go-Cup Friday Fest of the year in Zombie Style! Located at the 9th Street Plaza in downtown Greeley, CO.

New Breweries in Colorado (Video) - The Denver Post did a wonderful video about three of the newest breweries in Colorado including: Prost Brewing (Denver), City Star Brewing (Berthoud) and Hogshead Brewery (Denver). GABF Tip - While everyone packs in the bars and breweries in downtown Denver today getting ready for the GABF, consider heading outside of Denver to explore breweries within an hour of town. Plenty of breweries in Boulder, Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and even up I-70 in the mountain towns. Less crowds and more comfortable. Just remember to bring a designated driver with you.

Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew (Denver) - This new nanobrewery is doing a soft opening just in the nick of time for the end of the GABF week. They'll be open from 1pm to 10pm on Friday and Saturday this week and serving up $5 pints and $1 tasters. If you want to go better RSVP to www.gabfweekend.omfmb.com. Denver Beer Ice Cream Fest (Denver) - Sweet Action Ice Cream Shop on 52 South Broadway is hosting their annual celebration of ice cream made with craft beer. They have 10 different craft beer ice creams to tempt your tummy. Flavors such as: Sweet Action Ale, Tiramisu Stout, Russian Rocky Road, ESB Oreo, Colorado Peach Wheat, Oktoberfest Chocolate Chip, Scotch Ale Yeti Cake, Vegan Maple Pale Ale, Grizzly Bear, and Ginger Beer Lime Sorbet. www.sweetactionicecream.com

Two Rascals Brewing (Montrose) - Montrose's newest brewery is hosting a Grand Opening Celebration across two days, Friday October 26th and Saturday October 27th. They've been open for a while, but now will officially get things going with a 2 day party. Visit them at: 147 N. 1st Street in Montrose, CO. They're open from 1pm to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays for the celebrations. Otherwise, open 4pm to 9pm Monday through Thursday and 1pm to 9pm on Sundays. Check them out!

Crazy Mountain Brewing (Edwards) - Crazy Mountain will be at 3 locations tonight. 1st at Rackhouse Pub's Rare Beer tasting in Denver, also at West End Tavern in Boulder at 6pm for a firkin tapping of their Cara de Luna Black Ale w/coconut, and also at Brewers Republic in Colorado Springs for the arrival of Crazy Mt brews in the Springs.
