Most of us work for someone else, and despite working for the "Man" (or Woman), every once in a while it's a good idea to show some appreciation for the person we work for, no matter how good or not so good they seem to be. Parry's Pizza (Castle Rock) - Head down to Castle Rock on Friday, November 9th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. It's the Fort Collins Brewery Pint Night. Buy one of several different FCB beers and you get one of their logo pint glasses (while supply lasts). Now offering up 40 craft beers on tap at the Castle Rock location, 50 on tap at the Highlands Rand location. Coming soon - Parry's Pizza in Greenwood Village!

Pikes Peak Brewing (Monument) - Part of the upcoming Monument Beer Week (Oct 20-27) will be the Barrel-Aged Fest at Pikes Peak Brewing on Monday, October 22nd from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Choose from over 25 different and rare barrel-aged beers. The party will be happening in the PPBC Barrel Room. It's an opportunity to experience wa wide variety of unique barrel-aged craft brews. No reservations required. Some of the beers are from: Jolly Pumpkin, Brasserie Dubuisson, Firestone Walker, Elevation Beer, Great Divide, Brewery Van Steenberge, Crooked Stave, Trinity Brewery, The Bruery, AC Golden and more. Butcherknife Brewing Company (Steamboat Springs) - Progress is being made towards opening a new brewery in Steamboat Springs. Yesterday, Butcherknife Brewing received confirmation by the city that their building plans have been approved. Next up is getting all the necessary permits.

Carbondale Beer Works (Carbondale) - Think all the Oktoberfests are over? NOT! Carbondale Beer Works will host an Oktoberfest this Saturday, October 20th from 4pm to 10pm. There will be 4 live bands, beer, food and a silent auction to benefit the Thompson Divide Coalition. A $10 suggested donation gets you in the door.

Crafting A Nation (Film) - The 1st trailer is out for a documentary film touting how craft beer is helping to re-build a nation - "Crafting A Nation". Check out the trailer below or view it on YouTube.

Twisted Pine Brewing (Boulder) - Two out of the 6 medals that breweries from Boulder won at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival were won by Twisted Pine this year. A Bronze for their Big Shot Espresso Stout and a Gold for their West Bound Braggot. These medals mark the 6th and 7th medals won overall for the brewery.

Echo Brewing Co (Frederick) - Echo Brewing is celebrating their first medal win at the GABF. Their Balefire Irish Red won bronze this year. On Wednesday, October 17th at 7pm they will be hosting their inaugural meeting of the "Barley Belles", a ladies only beer club. Ladies will have a chance to meet and learn about beer and food pairings with monthly presentations from various local breweries. RSVP to attend to katy[at]echobrewing.com.

Bristol Brewing (Colorado Springs) - This Thursday, October 18th marks the return of their seasonal Winter Warlock Oatmeal Stout. They're throwing a release party from 5pm to 9pm in the brewery tasting room at 1647 S. Tejon. Stop back on Saturday, October 20th for a tapping of a cask IPA at noon to 9pm. Thursday, October 25th marks their Venetucci Pumpkin Ale release party from 5pm to 9pm for those lucky few who'll get some, and finally on Saturday, Oct. 27th they'll tap a cask of of Red Baron Octoberfest at noon.

Prost Brewing (Denver) - In a blog article posted by the brewery yesterday, Prost revealed that they obtain their brewing yeast directly from the 1000+ year old Benedictine Andechs Monastery near Munich, Germany. This yeast helps Prost to brew truly authentic German beers. Prost recently opened in Denver earlier this year with brewhouse equipment that was moved over from a closed brewery in Germany. Visit them and try their German beers at: 2540 19th Street, just off the 20th Street exit of I-25 on the west side.

CAUTION: Brewing Co (Denver) - Speaking of videos, CAUTION: Brewing put out its own promotional video late last week on YouTube. This short 80 second video give a little behind the scenes look at their brewhouse and makes creative use of stop-motion action to slide a pint of their beer across the bar.
