Steamworks Brewing Co (Durango) - Steamworks Brewing Co.’s Firkin Friday for November is going to the dogs – literally – as the monthly event celebrating unique craft brews will also benefit Annie’s Orphans, the non-profit sanctuary for abandoned, neglected and abused dogs. Firkin Friday is set for Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, with the cask of “Mississippi Leg Hound” to be tapped at 3 p.m. The Annie’s Orphans Happy Hour fundraiser will run from 3 to 6 p.m., with shelter volunteers on hand to accept donations and provide information about the dogs and the facility. Steamworks patrons can donate as part of the weekly keg drawing, plus, 10 percent of proceeds from beer sales will go to Annie’s Orphans. The special firkin, the “Mississippi Leg Hound” to be available during the fundraiser is a Belgian chocolate with dark sweet cherries and black currants.

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project (Denver) - Starting this coming Monday, October 22nd at 10 am (MST), Crooked Stave will be making available through their online store next year's Cellar Reserve membership. All current members have first right to renew their membership each year and this year they still have additional memberships available. Crooked Stave will only be selling 400 memberships this year in total, including all returning members. They prefer to keep the membership small to protect the integrity and keep it so the beers are small batch unique examples of new barrel aged wild and sour beers we are working on. The Very Nice Brewing Co (Nederland) - Nederland's soon to be newest brewery is on schedule to be opening this coming weekend. They are still waiting on a couple of inspections and their Certificate of Occupancy. Stay tuned for their official news on when they will open their doors for beers.

Oskar Blues Home Made Liquids & Solids (Longmont) - Come to "Funk'n Wild" - a sour and wild ale club on Saturday, November 10th from 1pm to 4pm. This meeting's guest speaker will be Andy Parker "The Barrel Herder" from Avery Brewing Company. Taste selections from Crooked Stave, Trinity, Funkwerks, Crabtree, Russian River, Jolly Pumpkin, Bear Republic, Fort Collins brewery, Grand Teton Brewing and more. Open to the public - no cover - no excuses!

City Star Brewing (Berthoud) - Their October taproom potluck event will be tomorrow, October 23rd at 6pm. Cook or bake any dish with a City Star beer as an ingredient, bring it in to share and receive a FREE beer. The response to their past potlucks has been great and they can't wait to see what you cook up for this one. Who's cooking with El Johnway? Paper plates, napkins and silverware will be provided. Coming in without food? That's OK, just be sure to offer a beer to someone who brought a dish. Also, bring in your own pumpkin on October 25th at 6pm for a pumpkin carving session. Best pumpkin wins a free growler fill. Happy Hour prices while you're carving.

Arvada Beer Company (Arvada) - Come help celebrate their 1st anniversary with special beers being tapped every day this week. Today's beer is Both White House Ales. Tues: Nitro Russian Imperial Stout, Weds: Cabernet Sauvignon Barrel Aged Belgian IPA, Thurs: Russian Imperial Stout, Fri: Batch 100 Wheat Wine, Sat: Syrah Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout. Coming up on Saturday, November 2nd is their Grandview Pilsner.

Grimm Brothers Brewhouse (Loveland) - It may not even be Halloween yet, but you might want to mark down this upcoming Christmas festival that is scheduled at Grimm Brothers. Plan to attend their "Weihnachtsfest" - that's German for ChristmasFest. It's set for Saturday, December 15th all day at their taproom in Loveland. Details forthcoming. In the meantime, plan to attend their Monster Mash Bash on Saturday, October 27th from noon to 9pm. Special release of their Orange Griffen pumpkin-spiced hefeweisen, costume contest and more.

Boulder Nitro ObovoidBoulder Beer Co (Boulder) - One of the fan favorite NITRO OBOVOID Oak-Aged Oatmeal Stout will be back on tap this Friday, October 26th from 4-7pm during their roll-out party! Join Boulder Beer for $3.25 nitro pints, plus the return of the Obovoid Egg Relay with your chance to win a keg or 3 cases of beer! There will be a raffle for other prizes too.

Pikes Peak Brewing (Monument) - Tonight is the Grand Opening of their Barrel Room, it's a special tasting room for rare and unique barrel aged beers. At 6pm tonight you can step inside and partake of nearly 20 different barrel-aged brews. This is part of their Monument Beer Week activities at the brewery.

Backcountry Brewery (Frisco) - During the recent Colorado Craft Beer Show last weekend, a representative of Backcountry Brewery stated that in November 2012 they plan to start bottling 6-packs of some of their favorite brews. Look for those at local mountain area stores soon.

Fort Collins Brewery (Ft. Collins) - Fort Collins Brewery is delighted to announce their 8th annual Halloween Party on Wednesday, October 31st from 4-9 p.m. Come join them for a day that’s sure to be a monster-good time for the whole family. FCB will be selling sweet treats, baked goods, and more from Gravity 1020 Modern Tavern inside The Fort Collins Brewery. This is no ordinary bash though so make sure to pop in and enjoy the offerings with a LIVE local music by “The Band Wagon” and try one of the mouth-watering or dark zombie cocktails from Gravity 1020 that will have you screaming for more. Make sure to pair it with one of their new fall brews on tap, including the devilishly good Double Chocolate Stout and GABF Gold Medal Winner “Bambostic”, Wheat Wine, and 1020 Amber. Don’t forget your costumes! Awards will be given out to the best and most creative costumes around 7pm. Also, if you come dressed in an FCB themed costume you'll have a chance to WIN a great prize!
