Colorado wins 35 medals at the 2012 GABF

2012 Great American Beer FestivalColorado breweries walked away with a lot of bling from the #GABF last weekend. The 2012 Great American Beer Festival wrapped up on Saturday, October 13th. The Brewer's Association published a list of medal winners just after the awards ceremony ended on Saturday afternoon. Once again, Colorado breweries ended up winning a significant number of medals. Colorado breweries won 35 different medals out of the 255 medals that were awarded - or about 1 in every 7 medals on average. That's down from the 39 medals Colorado won in 2011.

Colorado also had the high distinction of having a brewery named one of the Brewery of the Year winners. Funkwerks of Fort Collins, Colorado was named the Small Brewing Company and Small Brewing Company Brewer of the Year.

The 2012 medal breakdown went as follows, Colorado won 15 Gold medals, 8 Silver medals, and 12 Bronze medals. The following list outlines all of the Colorado state winners:
