Southern Colorado gearing up for Monument Beer Week 2012

Monument Beer Week 2012MONUMENT, CO (Oct 1st, 2012) – The Pikes Peak Brewing Company (PPBC) is excited to announce the line up for the 2012 Monument Beer Week (Oct 20-27th, 2012). Monument Beer Week (MBW) is the longest, most diverse, and most concentrated single celebration of Craft Beer in Southern Colorado. Now in its second year, Monument Beer Week continues to expand in scope and events. This year the celebration includes events at local restaurants and events featuring many of the brewers in Southern Colorado.

This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Craft and Culture of Beer”. “The purpose of Monument Beer Week is to highlight not only craft beer, but to build awareness and celebrate the multiple facets of the craft beer community,” says Chris Wright, Founder and Brewer at the Pikes Peak Brewing Co. “From expanding consumers’ knowledge and experience of exotic beers and pairing beer with food, to giving back to the
community – Monument Beer Week covers all of the bases.”

Saturday, October 20th: Brewers Dinner, Rudy’s Roadhouse – Black
Forest, CO.

Monday, October 22nd: Grand Opening of the Barrel Room, PPBC – Monument, CO Mini-Beer fest featuring some of the best Barrel Aged Beers from around the world.

Tuesday October 23rd: Women’s Beer Night, PPBC – Monument, CO. Release of a special beer brewed by the ladies of PPBC (Beer 4 Boobies), Dessert and Beer pairings. Proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Awareness.

Wednesday, October 24th: Brewers Dinner, Oakley’s – Monument, CO

Thursday, October 25th: Paradox Beer Company’s Grand Release, PPBC – Monument, CO.

Friday, October 26th: Front Range Craft Beer Mini-fest, PPBC – Monument, CO Featuring beers from Southern Colorado Brewers.

Saturday, October 27th: Oktoberfest – PPBC – Monument, CO. Traditional German meal, music and beer (a limited number of seats are available). Special hotel packages are available at the Sundance Mountain Lodge (within walking distance of many of the events), which include a room and growler of beer for $89.
